My 22 Minute Hard Corps Review
Now that we know the basics of the program, let’s see what I thought about it.
My initial thoughts on seeing the promotional information when it was released were not good at all. I didn’t feel the whole military vibe and following a workout cast that was outside in the grass among other setting was just weird. It looked off to me. I did however like the fact of only being 22 minute workouts.
Fast forward a few weeks after I have been doing the program and I have to honestly say I’m stoked for this workout. Having different background settings has actually been a nice addition. The workouts are straight forward and doable for any fitness level. They move fast and you will be getting your heart rate up in a hurry. Don’t think because of the short time frame that you can lolly gag through it. I’m completely spent by the end of these workouts and I have yet to keep up with the cadence of the cast for an entire workout. There is a lot of repetition here and if you’ve read some of my other program reviews you know I’m not a fan of repetitive workout. However in 22 Minute Hard Corps it doesn’t seem to bother me. For one thing, we are done within 22 minutes. So there is little time to worry about repetition and on the other hand the cadence and rep counts for each move changes as we go forward through the routine. I’m am pleasantly surprised it doesn’t bother like it does in a lot of other workout programs. So if repetitive workouts is an issue for you, don’t let it be with this workout program.
Is It For Everyone!
Unlike Hammer & Chisel released a few months ago, 22 Minute Hard Corps is truly a program for anyone. Anyone can do these moves, and there’s even a modifier for each exercise. But, just like with any Beachbody program you’ll have to really go for it to get the best results.
If you’re in the mind-set that 22 minutes may not be enough, I think it’s a perfect supplement workout to add to your routines. You can easily pair this program up with that of Body Beast, Ten Minute Trainer etc. And at a starting price of only $39.90 for the base kit, it’s definitely worth picking up.
As far as comparisons. I think this program’s cardio workouts are right in between that of T25 and Max 30. It’s not as dancy as T25 but not as all out intense as Insanity Max 30. In regards to the resistance workouts they remind me of the Insanity Asylum style strength training workouts or that of P90X3.
The nutrition plan is based on the container approach like all the newer Beachbody workouts.
