Since I don’t really know where to start I figured I would start from the begining. I started as a Beachbody Coach in January 2009. I really signed up mainly to save money in the products I already was purchasing. If I made any money we (my wife and I) decided we could put it towards paying for gas for our cars. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be able to turn this in to a full time job (working part time hours). January 2010 is where things really took off for my business. If your already a coach or thinking of becoming a coach you really need to come into this business and work it for at least one year. Fast forward to the end of 2010 and looking back at an amazing year earning more than I have ever earned in any job in any year in my life. Now we are in 2011 and things are EVEN BETTER! If you have followed me at all you know I qualified for the Success Club trip where we sailed on the Oasis of the Seas luxury cruise liner for 7 days. This was by far the nicest “award” I have ever received and we thouroughly enjoyed our trip. After the cruise I thought that there was know where to go but down from there. Wrong again, in March of 2011 I was in the runnings for the “Scout it Out” promotion. This promotion took the top 3 Success Club coaches of January, February and March. To my utmost surprise I finished 2nd in the month of March with 41 points. The Top Success point earner for the month finished with 42 points. I had the joy and privelege of meeting and spending time with Beachbody coaches Shannon Nelson and Kathy Pelliser.
The winners of the “Scout it out” promotion Win a 4-day/3-night trip for two to scout out one of three potential 2012 Success Club destinations. This was an ALL EXPENSE PAID TRIP. Our group went to Atlantis in the Bahamas.
Here is how the trip went….
Thurday – We dropped our kids off at school and headed toward the Orlando Airport. Beachbody booked all out travel arrangments. We flew out on BahamasAir from Orlando at 12:45 and arrived in Nassau around 1:45. Getting through the Bahamas Airport was crazy, immagration took FOREVER, it took longer to get through immagration than the flight itself. Once we finally got through immagration we grabbed our luggage from the baggage claim and headed out to the transportation center where we see a man holding a sign with our names on it, it even had the Beachbody logo on it, which I thought was pretty cool. They load us into a Black Lincoln Navigator to take us about 25 minutes the the resort. We arrive at the Atlantis resort with Kelly Gilbert (Beachbody Director of events) waiting for our arrival. As soon as we get out of the vehicle I see the “Camera Guys” and I here one of them say “is this our guy?” and started filming our arrival. If you know me personally I do not like to be the center of attention, much less on any kind of camera so I was very uncomfortable.
We checked in with the VIP services, yes VIP, wow. I’m not a VIP by no means. We were checked in and escorted to our room, when we got to our room we were given a tour of the room and all the ammemities. After a few minutes we were finally alone to soak it all in, I remember both of us just continuing to say “Wow, this is crazy!” Once we settled down we went through our iteneray pack and we found another surprise, a $400 American Express gift card, as if the trip wasn’t enough, right. Beachbody really knows how to take care of their coaches.
The first thing we had on our schedule was “Swedish Massages” at the Maranda spa. After our massages we meet with everyone for dinner. This was no ordinary dinner. We had a pool side dinner with one table, one bar, a musicion and waiters all for us. It was a gourmet buffet style dinner. I was so far out of my comfort zone you can’t even imagine. I’m a quiet, to myself kind of guy. I did my best to try to get out of my shell. It was our time to meet the group and the other winning coaches Shannon and Kathy. I have to say that I could not have went with any better two coaches, Shannon and Kathy were first class all the way and made me feel right at home. We introduced ourselves to each other and had dinner, it was a very nice way to talk and get to know everyone. Until…..it started to rain and rain…and rain. We took refuge in a tent to let the rain come and go. Well, it never stopped, so we chatted for about an hour in this tent. After we realized the rain wasn’t going to let up we were carted back up the the resort for the evening.
Friday – We woke up and went down to our breakfast at the Mosaic resturant. This was a custom made casual cuisine breakfast. And there was every kind of breakfast food known to man. Eggs were made directly for you anyway you wanted, fruit, pastries and meat, everything was there to eat.
After breakfast we were picked up and put in Cadillac Escalades to taken to the Ferry docks where we hopped on a Catamaran Sailboat. Towels, snacks and drinks were all part of this. They took us about 2 hours out to sea. Then we anchored for about an hour to scuba and swim with the tropical fishes. After about an hour of being anchored we headed back, but instead of going back to the Ferry Docks we were escorted to a water side resturant. This is where we ate our lunch, right on the water and had amazing italian food. Upon finishing lunch the Escalades were waiting for us to take us back to the resort where we had the afternoon to ourselves to explore and relax. When we got back to our room, we intended on heading out to the many pools, slides and beaches, but we ended up falling asleep with the slider opened and the breeze coming in while listening to the live music down at the pool. By the time we woke up it was time to get ready for our dinner at Nobu.
Saturday – We started today early, we met with our group about 7 am to head down to the Ferry Docks. The docks were less than a five minute trip but we still rode in luxury Cadillac Excalades. At the docks we jumped on to a PowerBoat. The powerboat was to take us to a private Island called Rose Island. This was one of the coolest things we did, the boat went in access of 40 knots which at least to me was pretty fast. The wake was a little choppy so I guess thats why they kept us at 40. It only took us about 25 minutes to reach Rose Island. What was nice about this was we didn’t even dock. They just pulled up to shore, dropped a ladder and we hopped right off on to our own secluded beach. The beach had lounge chairs, umbrellas, scuba gear and kayaks waiting for us to use. We spent most of our time walking the beach and just simply relaxing in the peace and serinity. We later took out a kayak for a little while to view the area. The water is so clear you can see right to the bottom. When we returned from our kayak ride it was time for brunch. We had lobster salad, some kind of noodles and chicken and turkey wraps waiting for us at the cabana. After we ate we jumped back onto the powerboat and it took us back to the resort.
We returned about 12:30 so we have a few hours to kill before our Dolphins excursion, so we went with our group to the pools. The first thing we all went to was one of the slides. This was really cool, we all grabbed an intertube, they even had double intertubes for couples, which is what we grabbed. We go into line and made our climb to the top. When we reached the slides starting point we realized it’s a tube into darkness.

Inside the Shark Tank
After the rapids it was time to get ready for our Dolphin excursion. We headed down to the Dolphin Cay which is right there on the property. After we get on our wetsuits we go down to the water to meet the trainer and dolphin. Our dolphin was a youngin’ she was only 2, so the trainers had a hard time keeping her near us as she kept swimming away to her mother. So much in fact when they event was over they let our group stay for an extra amount of time because the dolphin was hardly there. We each got to take a photo with the dolphin and even give it a smooch. Well, except me, kissing a dolphin was not something I cared to do, but we did get a couple picture with it. After we rinsed off and got out of the wetsuits we were fortunate enough to have a backstage tour of the facilities thanks to Shannon and Dave. They showed us where they prepared the food and the backstage facilities and a baby dolphin less than 2 weeks old…pretty cool huh.
Our last group dinner was at the MESA Grill steak resturant. Again we had a bunch of appetizers to try, all of the were wonderful. I ordered a new york strip. I’m not a big steak eater but I figured this was a luxury steak resturant it had to be good. WOW, I have never had a better peice of steak in my life, it was SOOOOOO GOOD! My mouth is watering just typing about it. This was a nice dinner with our group to wine down the trip and sit and relax. After dinner we said our goodbyes as we headed out early in the morning.
Sunday – In the morning we woke up at 6 am and we had to meet our ride to the airport at 645am. We were picked up and driven back to the airport. It was the end of an amazing trip, we were tired and ready to get home to see our kids.

Relaxing while awaiting our flight home
Thanks for an amazing time Beachbody!
