We have the Super Bowl coming up this weekend and believe it or not most people will literally pig out during this little event. In fact the day after the Super Bowl is when we see an increase in people looking to lose weight almost comparable to New Years resolutions. Why is that? Well a lot of people will plan to start a routine after the Super Bowl to give them the freedom to “pig out”.
The hard part for the rest of us is to keep our nutrition in check during the Super Bowl and Super Bowl parties. I’m on day 25 of P90X3 and do not want the Super Bowl to be my demise in regards to my nutrition. There are many healthy alternatives to keep things healthy during this time. Recently Team Beachbody posted some yummy healthy alternatives to eat during the Super Bowl.
Interesting fact, Americans consume more calories on Super Bowl Sunday than any other day of the year and it’s easy to eat an entire day’s worth of calories before kickoff. We don’t expect you to avoid every tempting platter of appetizers, but to help minimize the post-game belt loosening, we’ve assembled some healthy snack recipes, all under 260 calories per serving!
