Stretch 40 Class Review | TurboFire Workouts Review

stretch 40 classThe Turbo Fire DVD series is a highly effective workout program that promises to not only burn calories, but tone the body and ensure maximum fitness and muscle health. The Stretch 40 Class contributes greatly to ensuring fitness by allowing you to spend an entire 50 minutes stretching the muscles that you so rigorously worked in the other DVD programs.

The Stretch 40 portion of the Stretch 40 Class is somewhat like a yoga class, because it involves several of the popular yoga stretches and poses. The poses include downward dog, chataranga and mountain pose, and facilitate stretching of a wide range of muscles, including the legs, hips and thighs.

There are also some ballet stretches that you will do in the Stretch 40 segment of the Stretch 40 Class. What you’ll find is that your muscles will be stretched beyond what you expected, and the results will be lasting. Although high intensity workouts are non existent in this DVD, you can expect the stretches to be very intense.

The Stretch 10 portion of the Stretch 40 Class is more of a preventative routine that works to keep your muscles pliable and free from soreness in days to come. You’ll start this workout with some arm swings, shoulder stretches and neck stretches. Squats and deep lunges are also part of the Stretch 10 Class, but they are deep so you really feel the stretch.

The exercises will be repeated on the other side for maximum effect. At the end of this session, your muscles will feel very loose and relaxed. They will also be ready to take on whichever other Turbo Fire routine you choose to do the next day!

You should never underestimate the Stretch 40 Class! It may not seem as intense as the others in the Turbo Fire program, but the results are certainly incomparable!

Sculpt 30 Class Review | Turbo Fire Workouts Review

sculpt 30 classIf you’ve gotten to this point in Chalene’s Turbo Fire workout plan, you’re probably used to high intensity, muscle-burning workouts. In the Sculpt 30 Class, however, you’ll be doing slower, more focused workouts that really sculpt the muscles you’ve been working at all along. The warm up itself will consist of yoga moves, lunges and stretches to get you ready for some deep muscle workouts.

With the Sculpt 30 Class, you’ll be using the resistance band, just as you did in the Core 20 Class. It will assist you in doing squats and curls with maximum resistance and for toning of the thigh muscles. You’ll also be doing some forward lunges to work on the legs, while doing a complete workout of the triceps. Talk about a complete workout program!

Next up in the Sculpt 30 Class is the shoulder raise. This exercise is facilitated by the band once again, as you will step on it with one foot, then lift your arm straight toward the ceiling. Repeat all these exercises and you’ll come to the end of the Sculpt 30 part of this DVD.

The Tone 30 portion of the Sculpt 30 Class involves pushups, curls and shoulder presses, all done with the resistance band once again. Remember that these movements are meant to be slow so you get the full burn that will allow your muscles to become toned. The movements are deep and effective.

The entire Sculpt 30 Classs will come to an end with you on the mat doing some core work and leg extensions. This class is a perfect accompaniment to the high intensity programs of the Turbo Fire series, as you’ll now get the chance to complete the mission of having a lean, toned body!

HIIT 25 Class Review | TurboFire Workouts Review

hiit 25 class reviewIf you thought the 15- and 20-minute HIIT classes were torturous, you haven’t seen anything yet! The HIIT 25 Class is bound to drive you up the wall with sheer intensity and muscle burn. As usual, the warm up sequences are classic and you’ll be able to complete the arm swings, squats and punches quite smoothly. But the fun is over after that!

The main workout of the HIIT 25 Class will start with a 70-second HIIT session, involving arm swings, high knee jumps and sideway leaps. It is not necessarily the hardest 70-second routine you’ll do, but it gets harder because you’ll be going at that pace for another three rounds.

Round two will involve a lot of high knees and sky punches, along with jumps and side lunges. Expect to do the same sequence on the other side, as always! There’s no easy way out of this one! You’ll get a break when you’re done, but then it’s on to round three.

Round three of the HIIT 25 Class is definitely harder than the previous rounds because you’ll have more of each exercise. You’ll also have to do ground touches, high knee runs and leaps. If you feel like you can’t manage to finish, you’re on the right track. This stage of the HIIT 25 Class is built to wear you down to your last ounce of energy! And you’ll have just enough energy to finish the last and hardest part – round four.

The cool down will come when you get into the stretching part of the HIIT 25 Class. You’ll get to work out all the muscles that you stretched to the limit during the four HIIT sessions. And don’t worry, it will all be worth it in the long run!

HIIT 20 Class Review | TurboFire Workouts Review

hiit 20 class reviewTurbo Fire’s HIIT 20 Class is the second of three high intensity DVDs. The first one had a 15-minute HIIT class, and now this one has taken it up a notch to 20 minutes. Your warm up will look very familiar, consisting of jabs, arm swings and squats, but expect utter madness when you get into the HIIT segment of the program!

The HIIT 20 Class starts off with a fire drill – yes, believe it! This drill will consist of several lunges, side punches and even more lunges to really test your endurance. Once you’ve completed the drill, you’ll get a short rest period to do some jump rope exercises, after which you’ll jump right into the second fire drill.

The second one is just as intense as the first and consists of the same exercises. After you’ve completed drill number two, you’ll do another cool down exercise, then get into fire drill number three. This time, sports drills, punching jacks, jumps and running on the toes will be your portion! If you manage to make it though, you can expect more of the same in round four.

There are three more fire drills in the HIIT 20 Class, all of which consist of the same exercises – high knees and side punches. Imagine doing 20 minutes of non-stop high intensity exercises!

The punishment is over now, so you’ll get the chance to cool down with some normal punches while regulating your breathing. This portion of the HIIT 20 Class is very important because it helps you to cool down the right way.

The 10-minute stretching sequence that follows will really work those hamstrings and other muscles in the thighs, as you’ll be doing several lateral stretches and deep lunges. You’ll definitely feel like a new person after doing the HIIT 20 Class!

HIIT 15 Class Review | TurboFire Workouts Review

hiit 15 class reviewThis HIIT 15 Class of Turbo Fire is definitely not for the faint of heart, or those who are easily defeated! After completing the effective, yet tame warm up session consisting of squats, shoulder swings and jumping jacks, you’ll launch right into a high-intensity nightmare with a happy ending – ultimate fitness!

Right after the warm up session of the HIIT 15 Class, you’ll jump into your first fire drill. As you’re probably aware by now, the fire drill is a one minute period of ultimate high intensity madness that will have you going non-stop with jumps, leaps and other fast-paced workouts. But what you’re probably not used to is jumping right into a second fire drill right after the first!

In the HIIT 15 Class, Chalene propels you right into fire drill number two, where you’ll be required to repeat the same sequence of exercises from the first drill. Talk about insane energy and activity! But don’t think it’s over yet!

As you can expect from Chalene, her HIIT 15 Class includes yet another fire drill with just 11 minutes to go in the whole program. You’ll continue to do jumps and punches at very high intensity. And then finally, you get a break, although not the kind that you might be expecting! Chalene moves you into some less-intense exercises, but not for long.

Drills 4 and 5 last 35 seconds each but don’t underestimate them! And don’t think you’re done there either, because you’re actually at the halfway mark. The HIIT 15 Class takes you through another four drills before taking you into the punching and squats that are normally done in the cool down segment.

Your HIIT 15 Class is really very intense, which is why there’s a 10-minute stretching sequence right at the end. Not only will that session help you to recover, but it will also prevent your muscles from feeling too sore the next day!
