10 days in and still going strong. I never would have thought I’d hear myself say I was looking forward to X3 Yoga. After 2 days of going hard at my workouts I was ready for a slower day. Not saying I was overly sore or tired, just that I was looking forward to something that was a little more low-key. I think I like that in P90X3 they have placed yoga on day 3 instead of day 4 like in previous P90X programs. I’m not too sure why they decided to go that route but I really like it. It’s hard to believe that we are already 10 days into the P90X3 Challenge even though I know we have a LONG way to go. It’s exciting the see the success myself and my challengers are having with this program. Not to mention they are all loving them being only 30 minutes workouts.
Day 10 X3 Yoga
My goal for X3 Yoga today was just to improve on the moves in this routine. It’s not like you can push harder or run faster with X3 Yoga. I do feel as if I did meet my goal for today. It wasn’t pretty by any means but it was an improvement over last week. I think that’s the goal here is to improve day-to-day, week to week. There is only one move that I completely skip in this workout and I think it’s called Ted’s Chair. Either I’m not flexible enough or I’m scared I’m going to crack my head on the floor. Either way I skip it. I hope to be able to at least attempt it before I complete the 90 days.
Day 10 Nutrition X3 Yoga
Staying the course and keeping my nutrition clean has been easier than expected. Although I’d really like them to stop running those late night restaurant commercials. Today I went back to a recipe I did last week that was really good. It’s called bbq spinach meatballs, Click here for the recipe. I have also continued to drink my shakeology daily but if you have been following me you know that’s nothing new. However they just released a new flavor and I have it on the way and can’t wait to give it a try. The new flavor is strawberry and it would be nice to have a variety instead of my chocolate everyday, but I love my chocolate so it will have to be very good to make it into my shakeology lineup.
Breakfast – egg white omelet with spinach and goat cheese (8 oz green tea)
Post Workout – Chocolate Shakeology, add whey protein and PB2
Lunch – grilled chicken, with a few left over mustard chicken nuggets from yesterday
Snack – Pure Protein Bar
Dinner – BBq Spinach Meatballs with quinoa
Snack – Cottage cheese mixed with strawberry preserves .75 oz almonds
