On to-day 11 and The Challenge. The Challenge is the first real resistance workout we do in each week in the first block. The first block of the P90X3 challenge is an adaptive period to get ready for the following blocks. It’s similar to P90X2 in regards to how we go after resistance workouts. In P90X2 we don’t really start strength training until month 2. So that’s what I’m expecting with P90X3.
Day 11 The Challenge
The Challenge is the Chest and Back routine of P90X3. Like I stated above I’m pretty sure it’s only setting us up for month 2 and 3. Even so it’s a fast paced chest and back routine. I didn’t feel the speed of this workout bothering me as much as last week and I even upped my numbers by a bit. I didn’t want to go to gung-ho. although after getting done I think I should have went even higher with my numbers, but there’s always next week right.
Day 11 The Challenge Nutrition
I have kept my nutrition clean so far this week. It’s not entirely too hard for me during the week, it’s the dreaded weekend that I struggle with. Although, I am getting better and back into a little momentum and really like the feeling of eating well and working out. You can’t beat that feeling with anything else. I didn’t get my veggies in today like I needed to but I did get an extra fruit bowl so it wasn’t a total loss. I have to get to work and get my veggie intake increased.
Breakfast – egg white omelet with spinach and goat cheese (8 oz green tea)
Post Workout – Chocolate Shakeology, add whey protein and PB2
Lunch –BBq Spinach Meatballs (left over from yesterday), fruit bowl, red potato fries
Snack – Pure Protein Bar
Dinner – baked shrimp with wheat germ, fruit bowl and sweet potato fries
Snack – Cottage cheese mixed with strawberry preserves .75 oz almonds
