Day 12 wraps up week 2 for me in the Insanity Max 30 program. They say to look on how far you have come instead of how far you have to go. But after 2 weeks of Insanity Max 30 I’m anxious for the next 6 weeks. Friday Fight Round 1 is a probably the perfect way to end a week heading into the weekend. You have to leave everything you have in that workout to get through it and just finishing it is a big accomplishment.
Day 12 Friday Fight Round 1
Day 12 was only the second time going through the Friday Fight Round 1 workout. It’s a workout designed to make you push for that extra rep or second. You will battle your mind telling you to stop. Just another reason I really like this Max Out concept. My first attempt with this workouts I maxed out at 15:30 just after the first water break. Today’s goal was to beat that, obviously, but in order to do that I’d have to push harder. It was a battle right out of the gates today for me. In minute 7 I was already questioning how I was going to break my Max Out time, but my body wouldn’t let me quit. I am proud to say I made it and even passed it by a full 2:00. I just couldn’t keep going at that point and when it was time for burpee’s I was in need of a break! I Maxed Out at 17:30!

Day 12 Friday Fight Round 1 Nutrition
Since it’s the end of the week my food has been depleted and I’m running out of meals. So today I went with 2 breakfast style meals and 2 servings of Shakeology to fill the void. It’s time to restock and reload most of my foods to have something to prepare next week. I’m sure I’ll come up with some more new recipes to try this week to keep things interesting but I know I’ll be making those yummy Tex-Mex Spring rolls. Stay tuned for my week 2 in review.
Breakfast: 2 eggs scrambled, slice of whole grain toast with strawberry preserves & 1 banana
Snack: Quest Nutrition Bar and almonds
Dinner: Steak Stir fry with veggies
