Day 13 is the first bout with multiple workouts in one day. We start with Pure Cardio and then hit Cardio Abs right afterwards. It’s not something I have looked forward to but it’s on the Insanity Schedule and I want to stay on track. I’ll do my best but have to say I’m a little nervous for doing these together. Pure Cardio is insane enough by itself.
Day 13 Pure Cardio With Cardio Abs
All I can say is “wowzers” for Day 13 Pure Cardio with cardio abs! What a crazy day for me. I have been dreading this moment since I decided to take the Insanity Challenge. Well the day has come and it was insane to say the least. I went through Pure Cardio without much pain other than the usual but when I got to Cardio Abs it was like starting an entirely new Insanity Workout. I didn’t take a break in between the two workouts which I might recommend. It was almost too much for me to handle. Once we got to the C-Sits it was only ab and plank work so it wasn’t to bad, it’s just getting past the warm up jumps that killed me. I’ll have to tackle this set once a week for the next 2 weeks before we get to the recovery week and then to Month 2.
Day 13 Pure Cardio With Cardio Abs Nutrition
Day 13 nutrition was pretty good for me. Especially for a weekend. It was my goal coming into this Insanity Challenge to clean up my nutrition on the weekends. I usually ate clean during the week and let it slip during the weekend. I’m happy with my progress so far. Again on Sunday we go out with friends and family after church. Today’s stop was Wendy’s. I went to Wendy’s with the idea on having a small chilli and some apple slices. As I was entering in the nutritional info on My Fitness Pal on my iPhone I was shocked to how much sodium the chilli contained. I already have a lot on sodium in my nutrition but the chilli alone was more than 1,000 mg ! Holy crap. So I switched to getting a baked potato, until I noticed it contained more than 60 grams of carbs! So I scratched them both a went with some apple slices and would eat when I got home. And wouldn’t you know it, they were out of apple slices. So I sat there drinking my ice water while everyone else had their Wendy’s soda’s, fries, burgers and ice cream. My dinner consisted of left-overs which was pork chop, brown rice and some green beans that I made the night before. I finished with 1924 calories and a macro ratio of 45-35-20. Stay Tuned
