Here we go, week 3 is under way! They say it takes 21 days or 3 weeks to make something a habit. Well I’m on my way to 21 days in the P90X3 Challenge and will be there by the end of this week. This was my 3rd go around with Total Synergistics and I feel as if I did much better today. Especially better than day 1, but I guess that’s to be expected. I started week 3 down a total of 5.4 pounds since starting P90X3. I’m just frustrated I let myself gain so much weight to begin with but either way it’s a big jump in the right direction.
Day 15 Total Synergistics
Total Synergistics is NOT one of my favorite P90X3 workouts. I don’t mind it and notice it goes by rather quickly but it not one of my fav’s of block 1. Honestly I have always had an issue with the P90X “Synergistic” workouts. In P90X there was “Synergistics” in X2 we did “Core Synergistics” and now in X3 we have “Total Synergistics“. These style workouts work well as they focus on multiple muscle groups at one time (compound exercises). And of course that includes the core which I’m positive most people need the extra help, I know I do. I increased my weight from 15 lbs on day 1 to 22.5 lbs on day 15 and just may be able to go for a bit more. Everyday I’m trying to improve on the last. Making myself stronger day by day. Once I get to-day 90 I’m sure I’ll have amazed myself. Unfortunately we won’t see this workout again until day 62, I can’t tell you how heart-broken I am.
Day 15 Total Synergistics Nutrition
Monday is my meal prep day and that’s my job today. Prepping my lunches for the rest of the week. I mostly cook chicken because it’s so versatile. Another new recipe I’m going to try this week has to do with lean ground chicken. I’ll post the recipe on the day I prepare it.
Breakfast – oatmeal with whey protein and 1 tbsp of walnuts (8 oz green tea)
Post Workout – Chocolate Shakeology, add whey protein and PB2
Lunch – grilled chicken, red potatoes, asparagus
Snack – Pure Protein Bar
Dinner – grilled chicken on a whole wheat hot dog bun, topped with spinach, red peppers and goat cheese
Snack – cottage cheese topped with strawberry preserves
