This X3 Yoga routine is starting to really grow on me. It’s hard to believe that I hated the Yoga routines in the original P90X, but even still I’m not sure I could enjoy 90 minutes of any type of workout. This is day 17 of my P90X3 Challenge journey and all is still going fairly smoothly. 3 weeks into the program and we are already looking forward to new workouts next week. That’s the beauty of a program with a lot of variety, it never gets old.
Day 17 X3 Yoga
X3 Yoga being only 30 minutes has got to be the perfect time frame for a yoga workout. I don’t burn a lot of calories, nor do I even hardly start to sweat. There is just something about yoga that makes me feel better. After a couple of intense workouts back to back Monday and Tuesday X3 Yoga was welcomed with open arms today. I still need a lot of work but I can definitely see the progress I’m making each week even though it’s only week 3. Unlike the first 2 workouts of this week we actually will continue with X3 Yoga though out the 90 days. When I first looked at the P90X3 schedule I was not feeling the yoga thing for 90 days. There are only 2 weeks out of the full 13 weeks that yoga is not included. But after a few weeks I’m glad they left it in there.
Day 17 X3 Yoga Nutrition
I wasn’t able to cook this evening and I ran out of my pre made meals at lunch on top of being short on time this evening. My softball team had our playoffs this evening (2 games) so there was no time to cook. I decided something quick was in order and went with a turkey sandwich on whole wheat bread. Man, do I love sandwiches. I try not to have more than 1 or 2 during the course of the week knowing that they are mostly processed. Tomorrow I’ll have to get back to cooking and upping that veggie intake.
Breakfast – Oatmeal with walnuts and whey protein
Post Workout – Chocolate Shakeology, add whey protein and PB2
Lunch – Chicken meatball, red potatoes
Snack – Pure Protein Bar, .5 oz almonds
Dinner – turkey sandwich on whole wheat bread, fruit cup
Snack – 8 oz 1% milk and 1 oz of almonds
