I was kind of looking forward to day 20 Plyometric Cardio Circuit. First it was the last workout in week three and second it meant that I have officially completed 1/3rd of the Insanity Challenge. They say it takes 21 days for something to become a habit so this was a milestone I was looking to get to since day 1. 21 Days of the Insanity Challenge is no easy task in itself but I’m still looking forward to the next 42 days.
Day 20 Plyometric Cardio Circuit
I did this workout later in the evening instead my regular morning routine. Not knowing until later that I had a scrimmage scheduled for my tournament softball team. Had I known this prior I might have done the workout in the morning. After the two-hour scrimmage I came home and had to push play to have time to even get the workout in today. It was not my ideal situation but sometimes “you gotta do, what you gotta do”. The other problem was the last time I ate was 3 hours before I pushed play and that was a small snack. And I didn’t want to eat right before either so I wasn’t sure how this was going to affect me. Just in case, I took some Beachbody Energy & Endurance pre-workout supplement to make sure I could get through the workout. Well, I had the best warm-up session to date and I’m happy to say that on day 20 I completed the entire warm-up with absolutely zero breaks or stops. I have to say I’m pretty excited about that by itself. However there was a price to pay for that. After the warm-up I started to get a cramp in my right side. So through the first circuit I struggled to breathe, so going full speed was out of the question. The second circuit I find a bit easier, if that’s even possible, and pushed a little harder but just couldn’t go to hard for the pain. I did however get the most Level 1 drills, ski-abs and in and outs than any previous day. I’m happy to say this day is behind me and I’m looking forward to week 4.
Day 20 Plyometric Cardio Circuit Nutrition
Day 20 for me comes on a Sunday and it makes things a little more difficult since we go out after church with friends and family. Today’s restaurant of choice was Hardees. At Hardees I decided to order the charbroiled chicken sandwich plain. It’s pretty good and even comes on a wheat bun. No surprise here but it’s LOADED with sodium like almost everything in a fast food restaurant. Of course I had my Shakeology like I do everyday and for dinner decided to go simple with a deli sandwich. Eating this way today put my sodium much higher than I like to have it on any normal day, but I think every once in a while it’s ok. Plus I probably burned some of it up with the scrimmage and Plyometric Cardio circuit being back to back. I went a little over on my total calories today by 63 and finished the day with 2013. My macro-nutrients were off today as well with the extra carbs I ate. You can’t worry about the little things and over the course of the week. I’ll post how I finished for the week on tomorrow’s weekly update. I finished the day with the macro’s at 44 – 37 – 19. Stay Tuned.
