I can’t believe it’s already day 21 of my Insanity Challenge. Although it really hasn’t gone by that fast I still feel like it’s progressing quickly. I’m still on schedule and have yet to miss a single workout.
Week 3 In Review:
What can I say about week 3 in my Insanity Challenge. Well let’s see. I improved my Fit Test scores. I am now able to complete the entire Insanity warm-up sequence without taking any breaks. I feel stronger, leaner and more fit. I even lost some weight, putting me at 182 when I started this week at 183.4. So I’d say I had a pretty good week all in all. What I can take away from this week is the fact that I am having a harder time getting my heart rate up. As my cardio improves it makes it harder to get it higher. But on the flip side I recover much faster now. So that’s something I will need to work on as I move into week 4 and beyond. Only 1 week left in Month 1 and then I’m off to the recovery week. I’m not really sure how to take the recovery week just yet. I look forward to slowing things down and taking it a little easier in hopes of actually recovering. The problem I have with it is that it’s doing the same exact workout for 6 days straight. Keep following me to see how it goes.
Week 3 Nutrition:
I made a promise to myself that I would keep my nutrition as good as I possibly can. So far I have been able to stick to that promise. If you have been following me I post my nutrition every single day. I more often than not meet my calories and macro-nutrient goals for each day. I’m happy with my current state of progress and I’m hopeful I can keep up the momentum the entire 63 days. My week 3 nutrition was just about “spot on”. I finished the entire week only 67 calories under my goal and I nailed my macro’s perfectly. I can’t really ask for better nutrition results than that I guess. Stay tuned as I embark on week 4.
