Week 3 had its ups and downs for me. I persevered and pushed through regardless of how sore or tired I was. I had to take all the excuses in my head and trash them. I was very happy that the end of the week finished strong and has completely rejuvenated me to dig deep.
Week 3 in Review
What a rollercoaster week 3 was for me. I started this week with an awesome Monday workout with the Cardio Challenge. I went from a great workout Monday to a dismal Day 16 – 17 workouts. Day 16 I was met with the Tabata Strength workout for the first time in the Insanity Max 30 Challenge. Not only did it kick my ass, but I didn’t even finish the workout before having to bail out. Having a couple of days in a row like this made me question if I could continue the Insanity Max 30 program to its completion. But something happened the end of the week and it really caught me by surprise. The last two workouts of the week (Day 18-19) were kick ass workouts. I really pushed hard during the workouts and had my best workout days since starting the challenge. I still don’t really know what changed mentally to make those days better but it really showed me that I CAN DO THIS! I haven’t been this amped up since day 1 and I’m ready to kick this thing into submission. I’m excited for week 4 and beyond!
Week 3 Nutrition
I tried a few more new recipes this week to keep things “fresh”. I pretty much stay the course the most of the time but for dinner I try to mix it up. One of the recipes I tried was the Turkey Quinoa Meatballs, they were actually pretty good and will most likely be something I make again very soon. The weekend is always a struggle for me and I know most people can relate to that as well. I feel like I had a good weekend of nutrition despite eating out a couple of times. I still like to enjoy myself when we go out to eat so I don’t completely cut out everything. I have to maintain my sanity right?
Week 3 Conclusion and Results
The middle of week 3 had me questioning myself, but in the end I finished strong. Now I feel ready to Max Out and keep going. I started this week at a weight of 194 pounds and finished at a weight of 192.8 lbs. I’m super happy with the 1.2 pound weight loss and a total loss of 4.2 pounds since starting the Insanity Max 30 Challenge. My goal was to hit the 180’s by the end of week 4 (Month 1), I’m so close but don’t see myself dropping 3 pounds this week. Nonetheless it’s good to have goals! As I said I’m looking forward to week 4 and the conclusion of Month 1 in Insanity Max 30. Wish me luck!
