Day 25 of the Insanity Challenge allows me to recovery from all the cardio. Cardio Recovery again was a welcomed workout for the week. I have to say I don’t feel as worn down as much as weeks past. Nonetheless I was looking forward to this routine. It’s short and sweet.
Day 25 Cardio Recovery
Day 25 Cardio Recovery was a great feeling workout. I went into this workout knowing I don’t get much of an elevated heart rate or calorie burn. In the squat portion of the routine I worked on going deeper into the squats. Surprisingly my knee didn’t give me any issues as I guess it was probably happy to stay connected to the ground for once. I still have work to do on the balance portion of the workout. I can’t seem to hold the entire session of the move called knee to chest. The others I do pretty well with but knee to chest has me jumping and tipping over way more than I would like. I guess that means I need sore more core strength. It’s a work in progress, as they say “Rome wasn’t built-in a day, and neither was your body”. Only 2 days of workouts left before I hit the recovery week. I’m going to push through these last few days of month 1 to ready myself for month 2.
Day 25 Cardio Recovery Nutrition
I continued to stay on task with my nutrition on day 25. I started the day off right with my favorite Proatmeal recipe before my workout. I wait about 2-3 hours after my breakfast to do my workout so that I don’t just burn off what I just ate. My post workout and first snack of the day were as usual. For my post workout I like to have the Results & Recovery drink. If you are doing Insanity this is something you may want to look into. It’s the perfect blend of carbs to protein for a post workout drink. It tastes amazing too. My lunch was kind of fill in the blank lunch. I already had the rest of the day planned out so I just needed to fill in the lunch with some left overs and a protein source. I had left over grilled chicken from the other day along side of some cottage cheese followed up with some almonds. Being I had another ball game this evening I went with another deli sandwich for dinner. Probably need to cut down on those and keep it to maybe only one per week. I was over my calorie goal again today and finished with 1998 calories and my macro-nutrients at 46-35-19. Stay Tuned.
