Day 30 was a little bitter-sweet for me. I’d be lying if I said I was looking forward to today’s workout. This is the second day in a row I’ve had to do Core Cardio & Balance and I still have 4 more to go. On the other hand this is unofficially the half way point in my Insanity Challenge. That means it’s time to update my pics, measurements and weight, something I was looking forward to.
Day 30 Core Cardio & Balance
As I stated above I just wasn’t into this workout today. I knew going in that this may be the hardest week for me mostly because there is zero variety this week. Each day is THE SAME! And day 30 is only the second of six that I’ve done, it’s going to be a long week. Once I pushed play I did well with the workout completing it with zero breaks once again but I have to say some of the cast were starting to annoy me. Probably just because my mind was out of it today. There were 2 main cast member’s that annoyed me today. One of them was Tonya, does she really have to smile the whole way through the entire routine, I mean come on. The other cast member that got me today was one of the women in the back with the red top on. She was doing quite a few moves incorrectly and that is starting to aggravate me. Especially when we got to the Heisman. You can hear Shaun T say, “knees to chest” but if you watch her she is not even close. She keeps her knees down and kicks her feet back kind of like butt kicks. Sorry, but I had to vent, they really got to me today. Hopefully tomorrow I can do the workout without looking at them. We shall see…
My Weigh-In And Measurements
It’s that time in the Insanity Challenge where we weigh in and take our measurements to see if we have made any progress. I’m honestly happy with my results thus far. I mean this is only 30 days into the program. I have another 33 days left to go. I have dropped roughly 5 pounds and shed a few inches here and there. I don’t notice a big difference in my pics but I do feel the difference in the way clothes fit, or don’t fit for that matter. My goal for my weight was to get into the 170’s during this round and as of today I am at 180.6, putting me really close to achieving that goal in the first half of Insanity. I think changing my nutrition the way I did yesterday is going to help me progress even faster for month 2 and I can’t tell you how excited I am to continue on this Insanity Journey. I just need to focus and get out of this week without pulling my hair out.

Insanity Challenge Group Results
I wanted to share just a snippet of some of the results our Insanity Challengers are having in the first 30 days. It’s exciting to see everyone pushing hard and getting results. If you want Insanity Results you need to get into a Challenge group. It really is the way to go. I’m starting new Insanity Challenge Groups all the time so be sure to get in one.
Day 30 Core Cardio & Balance Nutrition
My nutrition for day 30 was as usual. I started my day off with a bowl of Proatmeal to get a good mix of complex carbs and protein. For lunch I had a bowl of cottage cheese which for the most part I’m starting to get use to and maybe even enjoy. I added a large tomato and some almonds to finish lunch off. My dinner consisted of left over grilled chicken from the other day, then I added 2/3 cups of steamed peas to get another serving of veggies. I will continue to not eat any carbs after my afternoon snack. It didn’t seem to bother me yesterday even with a late ball game last night. I’m feeling good about moving forward with Insanity and the way I have my nutrition set up. I thought about adding calories but due to losing weight I don’t think I will, so for now I’ll keep them at around 1950. I finished today with 1922 calories and the macro-nutrients at 47-35-18.
