Well, it’s official, I made it 30 days in to the Insanity Max 30 program. And guess what, I’m still going strong. Just a little more sore than normal. Day 30 is the first time I get to try out the Max Out Power workout. It did not disappoint, as my legs were squeamish from the workout for hours. It’s no coffee break, let me tell you that is for sure.
Day 30 MAX Out Power
Max Out Power is the month 2 version of Tabata Power from month 1. But now we go from a 20 seconds of work and 10 seconds of rest to 45 seconds of work and 10 seconds of rest. Let me just say that the extra 25 seconds seems like an eternity. Shaun T basically destroys the legs in the first interval (at least on my first attempt). With the squats, pulse, chair holds and more my legs were begging for a break in the first 10 minutes of the workout. I was proud of myself for making it through particular portion of the power moves but soon we were on the floor going through push up hell. Needless to say I Maxed out during those push ups. I’m still using full range of motion and my arms and shoulders just didn’t last very long. It’s another day down in the Insanity Max 30 schedule and I’m digging deep everyday. Doing this style of workout everyday will were on you but as Tony Horton says, “Just Show Up”.
Day 30 Update:
After 30 days in the program my weight has dropped by 4.4 pounds. (started at 197). My goal was to “hopefully” reach the 180’s by day 30 and even though I didn’t reach that goal I’m extremely happy with my progress thus far. I don’t have far to go with only 3.5 weeks left in the schedule but I’m sure they will be an amazing 3.5 weeks nonetheless.

Day 30 Max Out Power Nutrition:
My nutrition and workout were off a bit today. I had to do some work on our septic system which cut into my cooking time so I ended up eating my (left over) spring rolls twice today. It ended up taking all day to get the job done so my meal timing was off too. Nonetheless I got in all my meals and should get back to cooking tomorrow. No matter what happens in life, stay the course, it will be worth it in the end…
