Well it was bound to happen sooner or later but day 33 is the first day in the Insanity Challenge that I will miss a workout. After yesterday’s workout I was feeling under the weather with soreness, weakness, headache and nausea. Not sure what brought all that on and so quickly. I didn’t sleep well either to make matters worse. I decided it would be in my best interest to skip today’s workout so I can give my body a chance to feel better so I can move on tomorrow.
Day 33 Core Cardio & Balance
I am honestly going to miss not having to do this workout today. I haven’t missed a single routine since day 1 and I didn’t want to start now. Again I think it’s for the best and will just have to let it go. It’s been such a habit now for the last 32 days to workout that it almost seems weird not to do it today. I started to feel somewhat better as the day went on but I never felt 100% and still feel a little weakness in my body. I still plan on pushing play on day 34 but will take day 35 (rest day) off to prepare for Month 2 and the Max Insanity Workouts. Hope to feel better by tomorrow. I often get asked what to do if you miss some days during the program…so here is my take on that.
It depends on where in the program you are! If you are in weeks 1 or 2 and you miss more than 2 days you need to go back just a week. If you miss one day then you
just need to make up for that day and replace it with their usual recovery day.
If you are in recovery week and get sick, after you feel better repeat week 4 and skip recovery week and go straight into month 2.
If you are in month 2 follow the same guidelines. No need to go back to the beginning unless you are still in week one or week 2.

Day 33 Core Cardio & Balance Nutrition
I kept my day 33 nutrition in check. Whether I’m working out or not I need to keep the nutrition side on task so I can meet my goals for this round. Started the day off again with egg whites and whole grain toast for breakfast. Lunch was the amazing Protein Pizza Muffins from the Insanity Diet Plan, which is still one of my favorites. Because of the way I was feeling today I didn’t do much moving around. So for dinner I went with a second Shakeology shake for the day. I finished the day way under my calorie goal but that was on purpose being I laid around all day. I completed day 33 with 1800 calories but kept my macro-nutrients in the right range at 47-33-20.
