Day 36 brings me back to the Eccentric Upper workout. I had a bout with mixed emotions going into todays workout. This is the first time in the P90X3 Challenge that I have been sick. Not to mention having the case of the “Mondays”. There was never a question of not pushing play today, it was more of a question of how well of a workout could I get the way I’m feeling. I have to admit that it was a really tough workout to even get through but I’m glad I got it done.
Day 36 Eccentric Upper
Last week when I went through the Eccentric upper workout it took me well over 30 minutes to complete it. I had to watch the cues before doing the move and set my select tech to the right weight. But since I write everything down as suggested by Tony, I knew what I needed for todays workout. The problem was I was a little under the weather today so I had a harder time keeping up with everything. I had to push pause a lot today and I hate having to do that but that’s the case for today. I kept up with my numbers from last week and increased where it was possible and dropped on some moves from being to heavy last week. It’s really important to write this kind of stuff down. Makes things easier in the long run. Even with being sick and struggling through the majority of this workout I got it done. I do not plan to skip a single workout unless absolutely necessary.
Day 36 Eccentric Upper Nutrition
After never really getting my meals prepped the way I wanted last week. I made sure I got it done today. It makes things so much easier to stay on task with my nutrition with having prepped meals ready to go. I had a fairly lazy dinner on day 36 and opted to just whip up some egg whites and whole grain toast. For my final snack of the day I decided to try a new Shakeology recipe my wife heard about. It’s called Shakeology Neapolitan. All I can say is that it was amazing. My wife has yet to find a recipe of shakeology she likes enough to drink daily and this one she loved. And best of all, it’s easy to make. All you need is, 8oz almond milk, 1/2 scoop chocolate shakeology, 1/2 scoop strawberry shakeology and ice to your liking and BOOM!
Breakfast – egg whites topped with goat cheese, whole grain toast with strawberry preserves (8 oz. green tea)
Post Workout – Chocolate Shakeology, add whey protein
Lunch – grilled chicken, brown rice, orange
Snack – Pure Protein Bar, .5 oz almonds
Dinner – egg whites topped with goat cheese, whole grain toast with strawberry preserves
Snack – Shakeology Neapolitan
