Here we are on day 40 in what seems to have flown by so far in the P90X3 Challenge. It’s amazing going through a program like this day after day. I’m starting to feel stronger and actually notice it. Today we had the beast of a workout in the Incinerator. This is another fast paced workout. Honestly I think it’s at too much of a fast pace. I have to continually pause the DVD to set up my Select Tech dumbbells to the correct weight. I’m not complaining, pausing a DVD is hardly a difficult task.
Day 40 Incinerator
The Incinerator is another upper body workout. In the classic schedule we hit the upper body last on Monday, so Friday we are right back at it. The difficult part is I just crushed leg day yesterday and a few moves require you to be in a lunge while performing a move. My legs were about toast so I would have to come out of the lunge for a second or two to be able to finish the reps. After increasing either my reps or weight on each exercise yesterday I decided I was going to do that agin with the Incinerator workout. I may have went at it too hard, the workout took me almost 50 minutes to complete with all the pausing. A few times I had to pause to catch my breath, the others were to simply adjust my weights or watch the cues again. Remember this is only the second time I’ve done this workout. When all was said and done I was completely waisted. I had nothing left and honestly couldn’t even do the burnout round. It took me about 20 minutes to get rid of the nausea feeling and get me legs back under me. I’m proud to have pushed myself out of the comfort zone these last 2 days and I’m ready to move on in the schedule.
Day 40 Incinerator Nutrition
Not the best day of nutrition for me. I met a buddy for lunch today and we went to a Mexican restaurant. I ordered 3 chicken tacos which didn’t bother me it was the chips with cheese dip that I couldn’t stop eating. Then to top it off that evening we had our weekly trip to Chick Fil A. Like I’ve said this entire P90X3 Challenge I’m not going to regret anything and not going to be so anal with my nutrition that I can’t occasionally enjoy myself. Even so I wish I had cut down the amount I ate at the Mexican restaurant and that’s something I need to work on more, portion control.
