I have officially made it through 3/4 of the Insanity Challenge as today is day 45. I’m excited for the progress I’m seeing everyday in the workouts and for the results as well. It’s progress not perfection as some would say but hey I’m doing it to the best of my ability. Only 18 days left in the Insanity Challenge and I’m going for it!
Day 45 Max Interval Plyo
I feel like I had just done this workout the other day and when I looked back at the Insanity Schedule I realized I was right. I did this Max Interval Plyo on day 41. After having such a good workout yesterday I wanted to try to match my performance with today’s routine. I gave it hell and Shaun T kicked my butt for it. I was able to push myself harder and did much more of the routine and took fewer breaks than before. I guess the biggest nemesis for me in this workout is at the end during the “Challenge” circuit where we have already been going hard for almost 50 minutes Shaun T has us do the 8 Power Knees/4 Diamond Jumps move. Let me tell you there is a ton of plyo work in this workout alone and by the time we get near the end he throws this little beauty our way. I had to modify it just to do as my legs were done at this point. When the cast was doing the diamond jumps I did the high jumps. I thought that was better than nothing. I hoping by the end of the Insanity Challenge I’ll defeat that set of Diamond Jumps.
My Weigh-In And Measurements
It’s that time again where I post my measurements and weigh in. I’m excited that this will be the last time I do this until the end of the Insanity Challenge. I’m happy with the progress I have made thus far. It’s hard to believe it’s only been 45 days. I dropped a few more inches here and there and I finally got through the weight loss plateau I was stuck in for about a week. If you are in as plateau in Insanity DO NOT give up, you have to keep going and trust in the program. Your body has to readjust to the new style and intensity of the Max workouts of Month 2. As of day 45 my weight checks in at 178.2 (started at 185.2) which is 7 pounds lost in 7 weeks. This puts me right on schedule with the amount of calories I’m consuming. When I began the Challenge I was not really worried about losing pounds but rather to drop the inches and body fat was my main focus. If the weight came off at the same time that was just a bonus. It’s now time to really focus and grind out these last few weeks for the best results possible.

Day 45 Max Interval Plyo Nutrition
Nutrition is the key to success! I’m 45 days into the Insanity Challenge and I have kept my nutrition very strict and clean. I am working out way to hard to blow any chance of having results because I skipped on the nutrition. If you are about to begin Insanity or have already started PLEASE do yourself a favor and take the nutrition side just as or more serious than the workouts. If you need help let me know! I went back to my favorite Insanity breakfast recipe in the way of Proatmeal. My post workout and first snack were as usual with the Results and recovery and Shakeology. For lunch I had the same as I did on day 44 with the Insanity egg sandwich. Nothing special just egg whites on an english muffin with some turkey bacon. At dinner time I grilled up some lean pork chops and added a side of steamed peas. As you can see my nutrition is fairly simple and that’s what I really like about the Insanity Nutrition Guide, it has quick easy meals that meet the requirements to have enough energy to get through some of these workouts. I finished day 45 right at 2000 calories and my macro-nutrients at 46-34-20. Stay tuned!
