Day 48 in the P90X3 Challenge takes me back to one of my favorite workouts of the 2nd block. Literally kick the fat off the body with MMX. I switched up my week again and did the MMX workout on Sunday instead of Saturday. It just works better for my schedule to set it up that way. The only down side for me is doing the workout in the evening oppose to getting it done in the morning. Doesn’t matter too much I guess, as long as I get it done.
Day 48 MMX
I have pretty much got all the moves down in the MMX workout. It only took 3 times through the workout to get it. I’m really surprised as to how high my heart rate gets in this routine. I remember doing Kenpo X for an hour and not really sweating and hardly burning a lot of calories, at least for an hour workout. In MMX I just about burned 500 calories in the 30 minutes of the workout. I think adding all the sprawls is what helps getting the heat rate up there. It’s for this to be the last time we do this workout for a few weeks (day 65) but I’m really looking forward to hitting it again soon. It’s always easier to have a great workout doing a workout you really like.
Day 48 MMX Nutrition
Breakfast –Chocolate Shakeology, add whey protein (8 oz. green tea)
Lunch – Small Chili from Wendy’s
Snack – Quest Protein Bar, low-fat mozzarella cheese stick
Dinner – egg white omelet topped with spinach and goat cheese, whole grain toast w/preserves and an orange
Snack – .75 oz almonds
