Is it really day 49 already? This 90 day P90X3 Challenge continues to impress me as it is flying by quickly. This week I officially pasted the half way point in the P90X3 program. It’s been a great journey thus far but I still have a long way to go. Week 7 was the last week in the 2nd block (can you believe that) and so there was no holding back to these workouts.
Week 7 In Review
I made a goal for week 7 to really push the envelope after having an off week last week due to being sick. I’m really proud of the way I pushed through these workouts and got out of my comfort zone. These workouts are relentless and the pacing is so fast you hardly have the time to catch your breathe let alone even think about catching your breathe. This week was amazing, by pushing myself I increased my weights/reps in almost every exercise in the entire week. Not sure where I can go from there but we’ll see in the coming weeks I’m sure. The only workout that gave me a lot of grief was Triometrics. For some reason that workout really kicks my ass. It could pretty much be a leg routine but I guess they consider it cardio. After week 7 and pushing myself as hard as I did, I can’t tell you how relieved I am that next week is the transition week. My legs were about toast finishing off week 7. Ready for the 2nd transition week so I can literally crush the 3rd block.
Week 7 Nutrition
Nutrition will always be the determining factor in getting results and losing weight. I made point from the start of this challenge to take my nutrition seriously at least 80% of the time. I feel as I’m right in line with that and eat very well during the week. Weekends are getting better but there is always room for improvement. I still enjoy myself by going out to eat with friends and family. I just try to make better decisions. I still want to enjoy my life, in my opinion, what’s the point of being fit and healthy if I can’t occasionally enjoy myself. I don’t want to be miserable lol. I have tried to be really strict with my nutrition before and it worked well but it wasn’t something I could maintain. My goal here is to find that happy medium and enjoy it, while still getting results.
Week 7 In Conclusion
Looking back in week 7 I know I could not have done any better at the workouts. I’m really finding a grove in them and finding that my body is much stronger than my mind thinks I am. I pushed the limits and I’m excited and anxious to where the next block will take me. Next week we have the 2nd transition week and as I stated above I think this one comes at a good time for me. I’m really sore and my legs could probably use a break. Looking forward to Isometrics and Dynamics at the beginning of the week. In terms of weight loss, I lost another pound this week putting me at a total of 15 pounds lost in 7 weeks. Stay tuned…
