Day 5 happens to be Friday Fight Round 1 and it’s a doozy. Unlike the first 4 days of Insanity Max 30 this workout only has 2 breaks inserted during the entire 30 minute routine and they are a short 30 seconds. The Friday Fight workout is about fighting with yourself, your body and your mind. And believe me one of them will eventually win, but it’s about going that extra second or minute longer than you “think” you can.
Day 5 Friday Fight Round 1
The first thing I noticed about the Friday Fight workout was the break slots were few and far between (only 2). So right out if the gates we warm up and once the warm up is complete we just keep on going. The first break is not until minute 15. We do each move for one minute with no breaks in between moves. Shaun T breaks up the moves from high intensity to lower intensity so getting through the sets was easier than I was expecting. I set a goal to try to make it to the first break but I was struggling with each move, but each move I’d hang on until the end and move on to the next one. I surprised myself and made it to the 15 minute mark but that 30 seconds wasn’t long enough for me to catch my breath.

Day 5 Friday Fight Round 1 Nutrition
I continued to keep my nutrition in check for day 5. I’m trying to incorporate more new recipes each week to keep a nice variety. Insanity Max 30 has been great so far this first week but if I want to see results I have to keep my nutrition somewhat decent.
Breakfast: 2 egg omelette with goat cheese, 2 slices of toast with strawberry preserves
Lunch: Spinach Meatballs and veggie
Dinner: Baked chicken with streamed green beans (Recipe)
