Day 53 is here and it marks that there is only 10 days left in the Insanity Challenge. It’s motivating knowing that there is only 10 days left but it feels like I’m so close to the end that now time is almost standing still. These first 50 days have flown by and now we are in the home stretch where time has slowed to a crawl. Nonetheless I am pushing through till the end and nobody can stop me now.
Day 53 Max Recovery
Max Recovery was just what the doctor ordered for me today. The last 2 days have been spiraling downwards in terms of my workouts. I have felt burnt out and tired not to mention sore. I was looking forward to today’s Max Recovery workout to maybe give me the break I needed to rejuvenate myself. At the beginning of the routine I was already questioning how I was going to get through it but after about 5 minutes I really got into and had the best Max Recovery workout to date. I did have to go to my knees in the last portions of the push-ups segments but that’s better than skipping them. The squat plie move we done for over 5 minutes was another move I improved. I wasn’t able to do the entire segment but I did the most since starting this workout. I only had to come out of the squat once and let me tell you I was shaking up a storm at the end of that move. I opted to not even wear my Heart rate monitor today being it’s a recovery day and I don’t really get my heart rate to high and the calorie burn is minimal. I only have one more time to do Max Recovery in the Insanity Challenge before it’s all over.
Day 53 Max Recovery Nutrition
The set up for my nutrition on day 53 was as usual. I took a meal or two from the Insanity Nutrition Plan and went with my own on the others. I began the day with the Insanity Recipe Proatmeal. Oatmeal mixed with whey protein tastes much better than it sounds. For lunch I had a deli sandwich. It was my kids last day of school and it was a half day for them so needed something quick. A deli sandwich fit in nicely, plus it’s one of my favorite things to eat. At dinner I went with the Insanity egg sandwich again. I have been eating this item a little more than normal lately. Sticking to my nutrition is getting harder and harder to control. I’m still on schedule but I’m losing the variety because I’m getting lazier with it here nearing the end. I finished day 53 with 1985 calories and my macro-nutrients a little high on the carb side at 43-38-19. Stay tuned.
