Day 56 is completed and so is week 8! That means there is only one week remaining, yep 7 days left in the Insanity Challenge. I’m right here at the end and I can’t wait to get to day 63 to do my final pics and measurements.
Week 8 In Review
What can I say about week 8? This was the 3rd of 4 weeks doing the Max Insanity Workouts. Overall the week went pretty good in terms of the workouts. My biggest issue was when I started to feel fatigued during the middle of the week. Today is the first rest day I have had since day 42. It caught up to me mid-week. The reason for not having a rest day is because I opted to do the 4th fit test on my rest day rather than doubling up and doing it with Max Interval Circuit. Not sure if I would change that even after the way I felt. Doing those two on the same day may have resulted in the same results of exhaustion anyways. I would rate my week 8 workouts about a 7 out of 10 at best in terms of intensity. I really was just ran down, tired, and sore. I pushed through no matter what and as I have said many times, Insanity is just as much a mental workout as a physical and I felt that the most in week 8. Only 1 week remains in the schedule and after having today as a nice relaxing rest day I’m ready to get it done.
Week 8 Nutrition
My nutrition remains right where it has been all along during this Challenge. I continue to be strict and not have any cheat meals or JUNK. I have actually tightened up my nutrition here towards the end since I’m so close to being done. No eating out again at all this week and to me that’s my key to my success. My family has been very supportive and are doing whatever I need to do to get this thing completed to the best of my ability. Sunday was the only day we ate out with our friends and family after church which they chose to go to Wendy’s. I sat there with my water and apple slices while sticking to my nutrition. I finished week 8 300 calories under my goal, but almost all of that was from my rest day. As you can see from the image below my macro-nutrients were within 1% of my goals again this week. If you are in the Insanity Challenge, take the nutrition seriously, don’t fool around with it if you want results. Stay tuned as I go through the final week in the Insanity Challenge, week 9 baby!.
