Day 64 begins week 10, can you believe it? And with the start of week 10 we tackle the Decelerator workout. This is only the second time I have had the honor to do this workout and I have to say I did much better today. I only have two more times that we visit this routine so I’m sure I’ll get even better before it’s all over. This has been an incredible journey and I’m starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Day 64 Decelerator
The decelerator is another workout that seems to include a lot of focus on the legs, even though there is upper body from push ups and pull ups included. There isn’t an over abundance of leg moves do I think I’ll be alright moving on this week. At least until Triometrics and eccentric lower. I like having this workout to begin the week, it’s a nice total body routine to get you ready for the week. It’s also a new routine in the classic schedule so there is no boredom as we continue to flip the schedule here is the final block.
Day 64 Decelerator Nutrition
After not losing any weight this last week I was starting to second guess my nutrition strategy. I even started to adjust my macros for the this week. After thinking about it I went back to the game plan I started this block with. I’m keeping to the 30-40-30 macro recommendation set forth in the P90X3 Nutrition guide. Whether I personally have success with that ratio or not, will be seen by the end of the 90 days. Personally I feel better with having the extra carbs in my system. I make sure to never go over the 40% carbs and I try to stay right under the 30% fats and leave the rest for my protein. This week could have just been an adjustment period for my body to get acclimated to the extra carbs.
My day 64 nutrition went well. I began the day with the Proatmeal recipe from Insanity. After my workouts I have been taking the Results and Recovery formula but I only use 1 scoop. Everyday for my first snack I have been drinking my shakeology and right now it’s the Vegan Chocolate flavor. Even though it’s listed that I had chicken for lunch I had to flip my lunch and dinner. I forgot to thaw the chicken so it had to wait until dinner. So for lunch I had a breakfast style meal with egg whites and toast. I was a little high on my calories for day 64 but I know I make up for it later in the week. I finished the day with 1956 calories and my macros at 35-37-28.
