Eccentric upper
is one of those workouts you either dread or look forward too. Day 66
was the day this week to tackle this workout. I really like this routine but boy did it kick my ass today. I don’t know if I was just off or what but by the time I got this one done I was toast. I’m sure I’m going to feel it tomorrow.
Day 66 Eccentric Upper
There was something I noticed today that I probably should have noticed sooner. During the eccentric upper we work on the upper body muscle groups. I noticed today that even though I was proud of the amount of weight I was lifting I was “cheating” during some of the different moves by using extra momentum to lift the weight. So I dropped down to the next weight (usually 2.5 pounds) and went back to do the move with perfect form. I don’t know why I didn’t notice this sooner, but better late than never. On top of that this workout kicked my butt today. It’s only been 2 weeks since the last time we did this routine so I wasn’t expecting it to be so rough on me. Nonetheless I got it done at a high intensity and burned almost 500 calories. I think there is only one more time we tackle this workout in this 90 days. Can’t wait to do it again.
Day 66 Eccentric Upper Nutrition
After a few days of having oatmeal for breakfast, today I went back to egg whites and toast. Lunch was the meal prepped chicken I prepared the other day, I added broccoli and an orange. For dinner I went with another recipe from Fit Men Cook called Spinach meatballs. Man those things rock! I added some asparagus and quinoa to finished off my dinner. I finished day 66 just under my calorie goal at 1837 and my macros at 34-40-26.
