Week 1 of the Insanity max 30 Challenge is in the books, I wasn’t sure I was going to make it. Day 7 is rest day and it was welcomed. Day 6 is an optional workout or rest day, I chose to rest. Only 7 weeks to go!
Week 1 in Review
After not really working out for the month of December this week hit me pretty hard. I’m really digging the style of workouts and how they are set up. It’s hard but I have been following the modifier to save my knees. Even with following the modifier I ave been sweating buckets and burning a decent amount of calories per workout (415-460). I’ll probably stay with the modifier at least through Month 1 of the Insanity Max 30 Challenge.
Week 1 Nutrition
I was able to keep my nutrition in check during the week. The weekend is where I struggle. Altogether I’d say I had a good week of nutrition. It could always be better but I’m not trying to be perfect. I tried a couple new recipes this week and they were very good. Coming into week 2 I’ll be trying a couple more. I like having the variety and it’s kind of fun to experiment in the kitchen. If I can continue to cook each meal I’ll definitely do much better with my nutrition. I’ll just need to work on my weekend meals when we go out for shopping or activities.
Week 1 Conclusion & Results
I’m excited for week 2 and what the workouts have to bring me. I will be attempting to beat my Max Out times for each workout. I started Insanity Max at a weight in of 197, today I’m at 195.8 which is a loss of 1.2 pounds. I’m excited for the 1.2 pounds that I lost in week 1 and I know it’s only the beginning. I have a very physical and busy summer coming and I need to drop this weight. Not to mention 2 weddings to attend! I’m just ashamed I let myself go this long. Week 2 will be a continuation of success for me! Stay tuned!
