Being that we are in the final transition week I assumed it would mirror the previous transition weeks. And that meant day 86 would be the Dynamic workout, which is a recovery style workout (with lunges). Imagine my surprise when I checked the schedule to find out that today is actually the Accelerator workout. And the last intense workout of my 90 day journey.
Day 86 Accelerator
I really enjoy this workout, and I don’t know if that’s only due to the fact that we don’t do it many times under the classic P90X3 schedule. Accelerator is basically an interval workout where we take an exercise for one minute and vary the speed and intensity off and on according to Tony. There is a lot more plank work in this workout than I remembered but it was all good. So that’s two days in a row with a lot of plank work. After looking at the schedule I see that the next two days are Pilates X and X3 yoga respectively followed up by our very last workout Dynamix on day 89 (day 90 is a rest day). So you can see how we are finishing this P90X3 challenge off with recovery style workouts for the best end results. Hopefully I won’t be sore on my final stats day as I plan to post my weight, pics, and measurements in my review. It’s sad and joyful that today is the very last “real” workout. We are getting closer…
Day 86 Accelerator
Par for the course once again with my nutrition. I kept it pretty much exactly the same as yesterday with exception to dinner. For dinner I tried a new recipe from Fit Men Cook once again. This time I tried the “Sweet and spicy sticky chicken fingers”. Want to give it a try? Click here. I completed day 86 with 2008 calories and my macros finished at 38-37-25.
