Day 9 of the Insanity Challenge takes me back to my second go around with Pure Cardio. My last run in with this workout I had to skip a few moves due to a injured shoulder. Well, I don’t have that luxury this time.
Day 9 Pure Cardio
Pure cardio is one of my favorite workouts. And it’s not easy by any means. I woke up ready to face the day when I checked into one of my Insanity Challenge groups a few people had already completed there workouts and posted that they weren’t “in it” today. I know it’s a reality to have days like that but it’s not something I want to read before I workout myself. It can put you mind in a different mindset. I didn’t let it get to me and I pushed through. As the Coach of the group it’s my job to make sure I get it done.
What I want YOU to take away from this is the fact that even though a few members didn’t really “feel it” today…they GOT IT DONE! Now ask yourself this question. Would YOU have pushed play if you didn’t have a group to push you along? Would you have pushed play knowing that nobody is going to CALL YOU OUT on it. This is what makes the Insanity Challenge Groups important, they WILL give you that extra push to get it done. I’m extremely proud of my Challenger’s and their commitment to the group and to themselves. Oh and one other thing, being today is day 9, that means I’m only one day from being 1/6th of the way through with Insanity.
Day 9 Pure Cardio Nutrition
This week I upped my calories to about 1950 and I will continue that trend for the rest of the week to see how things go. I started my day today with a bowl of Proatmeal which is still one of my favorites. So you know by now I’m using My Fitness Pal to track my nutrition. One thing that helps me meet my goals is I enter the food I may want to eat that day so I can adjust it before actually eating. For dinner today I decided on the Protein Muffin Pizza recipe. My wife enjoys them as much as I do so a made a larger batch today, but kept to my serving size. I finished the day with 1973 calories and my macronutrients ended at 44-38-18.
