Week 3 of the Asylum

Begin week 3 of my Insanity Asylum journey. This week is going to be a repeat of last week. With the exception of the Relief workout which I have yet to try. I’m hopeful that Speed and agility and Vertical Plyo come to me a bit easier but not sure if I will be that lucky. Asylum has proved to be a tough workout, but I knew that going in. It will be hard to keep up with the day to day grind of this workout. Being that this is only a 30 day program I think I can make it.

Day 11 – Game Day – I would be lying if I told you I was looking forward to this workout. I have honestly been dreading this day for two weeks now and the day is here. It really was a hard workout, but it had moments if fun intertwined into it. Going through the different sports was kinda fun to do. Don’t get me wrong some of them were very hard. I was just short of 1,000 calories for this workout but I took a lot of breaks.
Game Day Stats:
Duration: 61:00
AVG BPM: 140
Peak BPM: 216
Calories Burned: 941

Day 12 – Back to Core – Man am I sore today, my butt for some reason has the most pain. Making yesterdays workout a pain in the a**. Sorry, I couldn’t resist. This is my third time doing this workout and I was surprised today to already see improvements. This gives me a whole new look on this routine as a whole, I look forward to the coming days.
Back to Core Stats:
Duration: 39:04
AVG BPM: 132
Peak BPM: 214
Calories Burned: 535

Day 13 – Strength – This is still a hard core resistance workout, but I’m starting to really like it a lot. This is the third time doing this workout and I’m starting to see strength improvement already…pretty impressive if you ask me.
Strengt Stats:
Duration: 48:59
AVG BPM: 135
Peak BPM: 199
Calories Burned: 701

Day 14 – Relief – Good time for some relief today. I like this one a lot. Felt good to relax and stretch.

Day 15 – Speed and Agility – Getting better each time I do this routine. Still had to take a lot of breaks but I’m recovering much quicker so my breaks are much shorter too.
Duration: 47:03
AVG BPM: 138
Peak BPM: 164
Calories Burned: 701

Week in Review:
I had my first bought with “Game Day” this week and it’s was a tough go around. The rest of the week went really well. I’m starting to feel what Shaun T is doing to my muscles. Feeling stronger and faster already in only 3 weeks is amazing. I only have 3 weeks left for this workout routine. Next week is going to be a killer week for me, it will include Game Day and Vertical Plyo (twice). Wish me luck and stay tuned…
