I have been going through Insanity Max 30 with my challengers and we have been enjoying the program and the Max Out concept of the program. This was a big selling point for me. As a person that has usually works out at home (alone) with Team Beachbody workouts I really needed something that would help me push out of my comfort zone. Sure I would push myself in my workouts everyday and really feel like I got the most out of each day but I just really didn’t know if I was giving it my all or just “dogging it” and getting it done.
Enter Insanity Max 30! The program where you don’t compete with Shaun T or the insanely in shape cast members. You compete with yourself! We do this by recording out Max Out time during each workout.
What is a Max Out Time?
In its basic form a Max Out time is the first time you need a break or stop in an Insanity Max 30 program. You should be pushing yourself as hard as you can until you reach your max out time. The next time you do the workout you check your previous Max Out time and compete to break that number. Hence “competing with yourself”. I can’t tell you how many times my mind and body wanted to quit but I kept going and “digging deep” to reach and pass my previous Max Out Time. This has been a great tool for me and my fitness and I’m really loving this program!
Did You Max Out Properly?
Back to the point of this post. I see many people over social media saying how they make it through an entire Insanity Max 30 workout without Maxing out. That brings up 2 questions. Did they Max Out Properly? or Are they full of $hit? Now, I know there a some that can complete a workout and not Max Out but don’t lie to yourself, the only person you’re cheating is YOU. For Example Shaun T and the cast will Max out in each workout (with exception of a few (Damn you Darren lol)). So to complete and entire Insanity Max 30 workout without Maxing Out is going to be rare for most, and that’s the point.
Shaun T addresses this question: How To Max Out Properly in the following video. Give it a look and make sure you are Maxing Out Properly to maximize your results from the program.
If you are looking for a program that’s not only challenging but will get you out of your comfort zone then look no further. Insanity Max 30 has been a eye opener for me and my fitness.
