When I first started with Beachbody and my fitness journey I started with P90X. I had seen the P90X infomercial and like most people was motivated to get off my butt and do something. My weight was at 215 and body fat was over 24%. I’m pretty atheletic and play sports but I was still overweight. After completing P90X I lost 36 pounds and dropped my body fat percentage to 12%.
Fast forward a bit, my Beachbody business has literally blown up and I wrapped myself into the business side of things and let my fitness go a bit. I gained back a bit of weight and now weigh 199 pounds. I told myself once I got under 200 pounds I would never go above that number again. 199 is way to close to getting back to 200 pounds.
Now I have tried a few times to get remotivated into losing weight, but it never stuck. I got sick a bunch of times and even got a staph infection which knocked me for a loop. Then this year I have been on a few trips which made the workout that much harder to get in. In March I went on the Beachbody Cruise. This was a 7 day cruise for qualifying Beachbody Coaches. I started Insanity prior to the cruise but ended getting sick in the middle of the program and stopped. Upon returning from the Beachbody Cruise I dedicated myself to starting my fitness journey again. WELL to my surprise I won another trip with Beachbody. This trip was for only the Top 3 coaches in the company for the month of March.
So in April we went to Atlantis in the Bahamas on an all expense paid trip. We were wined and dined for 4 days so obviously I didn’t get to start my routine. I know what your thinking, I could have worked out during the trip and even on the cruise. Well no excuses, but me and my wife “enjoyed” these trips and didn’t worry about what we ate or whether we worked out or not. Bad idea, I know.
I have now rededicated myself once again as of May 16th. I will be starting week 3 May 30th and I can say I have not missed a workout and kept my diet in check with ZERO cheat days or meals. I’m eating things I would have never even tried and I’m pleasantly surprised I actually like most everything I have tried as much as if I wasn’t dieting. One thing that helps is I absolutely hate fast food, so staying away from those resturants is easy for me.
So what am I doing?
My two favorite Beachbody programs are P90X and Insanity. I created a hybrid workout sometime ago and decided I liked it way to much not to do it. So I’m incorporating P90X and Insanity into my routine and I’m loving it. Weight is already starting to come off. I will update my progress as I go with this round. One of my goals is to get my weight back down under 190 and get back into some of my clothes. So we’ll see
To Your Success,
