Begin Week 3 of My P90X Insanity Hybrid Workout.
Day 15 Monday – P90X Chest & Back, I had probably the best workout I have ever had with this routine. In the words of Tony Horton, “I crushed it”. I went all out, I even felt stronger than the week before, could have just been my mind set, but nonetheless I really crushed this workout. My goal will be to keep up with the cast before I finish the 90 days, and today I just about kept up with them. I fininshed it off with my Protein Shake. Feeling really good!

Day 16 Tuesday – Insanity Plyo Cardio Circuit, had another good day today. I did this workout the same way as last week. I pressed pause and let my heart rate recover before doing each circuit. I really think this is what your suppose to do, although it does add about 10 minutes to the workout while waiting for my heart rate to recover. I’m sure this will vary depending on the individual. I burned over 800 calories today and it felt great.

Peak Heart Rate: 171

Day 17 Wednesday - P90X Shoulders & Arms, another workout crushed today, I have been having a great week with my workouts thus far. I am in need of upgrading my dumbbells or to start using the resistance bands. I have 20 lbs dumbbells I use for shoulders and biceps. I think I need to get a set of 25 lbs. so I can start getting them into my workouts. I’m still unsure which workout I will be doing tomorrow, either Insanity Power & Resistance or P90X+ Interval X.
Workout Time: 63:03
In Target Zone: 30:36
Avg Heart Rate: 117
Peak Heart Rate: 147
Calories Burned: 708
Day 18 Thursday – P90X+ Interval X, As you can see I decided to go with Interval X today. No reason, just a change of pace. Interval X is about the amount of time as my Insanity workouts. I have had a softball tournament this week in addition to my regular games. With softball every night and my workouts every morning it’s been fun, last night I tweaked my hamstring again. I actually thought about skipping todays workout completely or just doing the Stretch X Workout. Needless to say I did not skip my workout. I did it with reluctance, I really had to take it easy on my left leg. With another game tonight I’m hoping it losens up, problem is I play shortstop. Thats not all, tomorrow is my P90X Legs & Back workout and I have another game that night, PLUS saturday I have a day tournament with at least 3-4 games to play, so we’ll see how my legs does.
Workout Time: 44:06
In Target Zone: 32:54
Avg Heart Rate: 131
Peak Heart Rate: 164
Calories Burned: 538
Day 19 Friday – OFF, Well, I’m kinda dissappointed. I missed this workout day, not because of laziness or lack or effort. During my softball game I was worried about my hamstring so I tried to take it easy, which is not me. In the mist of playing ball I somehow pulled something in the right side of my back. So giving today was LEGS & BACK, I decided to opt out. I have at least one more game tonight, maybe two PLUS a all day tournament tomorrow so it’s better I don’t injure myself further so I can be somewhat useful for the team. I may get this workout in Sunday, but not sure.
We finished 2nd in our local tournament here is our team pic. You can me with the Boston hat on

Day 20 Saturday – OFF, All day softball tournament in Tampa.
Day 21 Sunday – OFF, WOW!, this is actually my first day off this week with all the softball I’ve been playing. Ended up playing 9 games this week and my legs are really sore. For this reason I will opt out of the Legs & Back Workout. Monday is the start of my first recovery week, as a Beachbody Coach I receive free workout demos on occasion and I received the REVABS workout dvd. It is one full workout from the new routine and I may try it one day during my recovery and do a small review. I enjoy the resistance days, so I’m not to sure how this week will play out with no resistance days. Overall I kept a pretty clean diet, but I did have a cheat day. Saturday after my softball tournament me and my wife stopped at Chilis for a bite to eat. I ordered chips and queso (BIG NO NO) and Chicken Crispers (ANOTHER NO NO) with a Dr. Pepper (1st soda in 3 weeks). I enjoyed this meal while eating it but afterwards I felt like I let myself down. Today I’m back on the clean eating diet and relaxing so I will be ready for the coming week.
