Day 5 of my P90X Insanity Hybrid workout was nice. Good ol’ legs and back, however, I decided to skip the “back” portion of this workout. So with hardly any breaks between exercises my legs were getting hammered. Most of the moves Tony Horton has the crew doing 25 reps. I usually did 20 and was happy to do that many after not doing this workout for a few months. I really went deep on the squats as I was prepared for because of the Insanity workouts putting so much work on my legs. I am “feeling it” today, even my butt is sore. By cutting out the back exercises from this workout it shortened it to about 45 minutes. I spent almost 30 of those minutes “in zone”. I was really surprised that I burned over 500 calories doing this workout, not sure why, but I just thought my burn would be lower than it was. I continue to take my rest day saturday and workout on sunday, this works best for me. That means later today I will be doing my Insanity workout. Bring It!
