I started P90X in March of 2011. Beachbody has changed my life. When I started I weighed in at 198lbs and 26% body fat and I was a smoker. I wore a size 34-36 inch pants. Usually a 36inch pants. After my first 90 days I had gone down to 175lbs and an amazing 18% body fat and had quit smoking. There were up and downs and days when you just don’t want to but I think after about 2 weeks you realize (or at least I did) that you don’t want to let Tony down and you just have to keep pressing play. Keep pressing play.
Then just as I was finishing my 90 days it happened. I had friends who wanted to run Tough Mudder at Wintergreen, VA. Now if you don’t know what Tough Mudder is, it is a 10-12 obstacle course built by the British Special Forces and it can be brutal. Of course they all said the same thing, you do P90X you think you can do it? Hell yeah I can! This was the kickoff off my second 90 days and what I have now found to be another life changing event and experience. All because of P90X. I had 4 months to train. So another 90 days while adding running to my training. I brought it and I crushed it! At the time of the event and after my 2nd 90 days I weighed about 160lbs and was down to 10-11% body fat.
Currently I weigh 165lbs and am at 11% body fat. Down to size 30-31 pants. Going through P90X2 and loving it. I have also signed up for 3 more Tough Mudders this year which I run the teams and training for.
A year ago if you had told me where I’d be at now, I probably would have laughed at you. Anything really is possible with Beachbody. In a nutshell P90X and Beachbody was the beginning of my life journey. It truly has changed everything. The way I eat and the way I live my day to day life. I’m now a Beachbody Coach and love the opportunity to pass along what I have learned and my experiences.
