So begins my journey into the Asylum. Today is day one, yesterday I did the Athletic Performance Assessment so I felt pretty good thinking to myself I can handle this. Now worries, well I was so wrong. This one kicked my butt! At about 45 minutes this thing was rough on me even after finishing a full round of P90X recently. One thing I did notice was I did not get nauseas at all. I always seem to get nausueas when I push hard on a cardio workout and with Insanity or Asylum there is almost no way to not push hard. Just doing these workouts will drench you with sweat. I will be updating these workouts daily. My goal for these 30 days is just to drop some more body fat. I’m currently at 15% so anything lower will be great for me. I may lose a little more weight but that is not a goal for these next 30 days.
I have been in sports all my life and have trained hard for different types of sports so I’m actually excited to start the Asylum. I have not ever used a ladder to train so that portion will be new to me and it showed. I hit the ladder quite a few times. We use the ladder a lot in today’s workout so I’m sure I will have a handle on it pretty quickly. I expect to get better with time on this routine but one thing I can tell you right now….This is going to be a long 30 days!
