Day 22 of Insanity Max 30 begins the last week in Month 1. The schedule remains the same as it did last week and we start with the Cardio Challenge. This is the last time I do this workout until the very last day in the program (Day 56). I’m looking forward to Maxing out this final week of month 1 and ready to get my butt kicked once I hit the month 2 workouts.
Day 22 Cardio Challenge
After the way week 3 ended I was really amped up to get this week started. I was motivated to push hard and break my Max Out times all week to go into Month 2 strong. This, of course, will be harder than it sounds. On the last Cardio Challenge workout I was able to push my Max Out time to 19:39 and I knew that this was going to be a real challenge for me to top today. I didn’t really have to many issues getting into the 3rd set but man those X squats were brutal and had me second guessing myself. I really try to avoid watching the clock so I knew that if I could get through that set I’d have a new Max Out time. As my mind and body would have it, I made it! I was gasping for air in our little 30 second break and if you’re familiar with Shaun T this is no coffee break, and we were right back into it. Needless to say I maxed out shortly thereafter at a time of 21:00. I’m really confident I can complete this entire workout without hitting a max out when I return to on day 56. Only time will tell how I do in month 2 of Insanity Max 30.

Day 22 Cardio Challenge Nutrition
My day 22 nutrition was par for the course as it’s been since day 1. This evening we had a birthday to attend and I was proud to pass on the cake and ice cream. And it wasn’t even that difficult to say no and even watch others enjoying it. Normally I would just have a small slice of cake and not worry about it but I feel really focused and motivated right now and didn’t want to lose any momentum. At dinner I had my kids help me prepare my favorite recipe lately (Tex Max Spring Rolls) and it was nice to have them join me in the kitchen. I try to teach them daily about the importance of good nutrition by “showing” instead of speaking. As the saying goes….”Actions speak louder than words”.
Breakfast: 2 egg omelette with goat cheese, slice of whole wheat toast with strawberry preserves & a Banana
Lunch: Turkey Quinoa Meatball and a veggie
Snack: Orange, Almonds Quest bar
Dinner: Tex Mex Spring rolls
Snack: Fruit Bowl (Strawberries, watermelon, pine-apple)
