Day 25 in the Insanity Max 30 Calendar calls for Tabata Strength. Something I stumbled across was that Shaun T says the calendar is actually misprinted. The Tabata Power and Tabata Strength workouts are both supposed to be done in the same week (each of the 4 weeks in month 1). Being this is my 4th week and just now hearing this I’m kind of disappointed that I missed a few Tabata Power workouts because of the schedule misprint in Insanity Max 30.
Day 25 Tabata Power
I’m kind of happy I discovered the typo on the Insanity Max 30 Calendar for day 25 workout. My shoulders and arms are still toast from the day 23 Tabata Strength workout. Tabata Power has a lot less floor work and saved my shoulders a bit today. I don’t think I could have done half of the Tabata Strength workout today.
I really enjoy the Tabata Power workout which seems more focused on legs than arms which is why I thing both Tabata “Strength and Power” and supposed to be done each week. My previous max out time for this workout was (day 11) 24:30. Looking back at that number I know I wasn’t using full range of motion explained by Shaun T here. Now that I’m using a FULL RANGE OF MOTION I’m maxing out much faster. Which is what you want, Shaun T says you should Max out as fast as you can. Today (day 25) I maxed out at a time of 10:19 on the push up portion of the workout. Granted my arms and shoulders are still toast from the other day. Nonetheless I still used my full range of motion. If you’re not sure, your full range on a push up should be ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR (almost touching) and back up. If you’re not going all the way down, you’re cheating yourself. I just wish I hadn’t been cheating myself this far into the program but I’m always learning new things with this program and I love that about it.

Day 25 Tabata Power Nutrition
Switched up nutrition on day 35 slightly. I had a breakfast style dinner because I really didn’t feel like cooking. I cook everyday and I just wasn’t into it today. I also added the Results and Recovery formula once again. Mostly to deal with the soreness and recovery from these tabata style workouts. I only use one scoop to save on the sugar, carbs and calories. It’s not something I drink everyday but it really seems to help on the Tabata workout days in Insanity Max 30.
