Max Out Strength is quickly becoming one of my favorite workouts in Insanity Max 30. Day 39 and my second go around with Max Out Strength and it didn’t disappoint. There is a lot more floor work in the routine than I normally enjoy but for some reason I was really into it today. This happens to also be the workout I max out on the quickest so maybe that has some play into why I enjoy, or not.
Day 39 Max Out Strength
Max Out Strength is a tabata style workout with 45 second of work and 15 seconds of rest. Those 45 seconds will feel much longer, trust me. After not really “feeling it” yesterdays workout I was pressed to have a good workout today. And as I stated above this is becoming one of my favorites. I need a lot of work on my upper body and this workout really takes it to me. I make sure to use full range of motion so it cuts down on my rep counts but I’m getting stronger each time. The last attempt at this workout I maxed out at less than stellar time of 6:52 (my shortest). I was determined to increase that time today. The problem, Shaun T hammers the legs right out of the gate and it’s all I can do to keep going in the first segment. Once I got out of the first segment I knew I had a shot but how long I could do the various push ups before need ing a break or losing form was up in the air. When I finally had enough and checked my time it was at the 7:55 mark, Woohoo! I increased my time by a full minute!
