A Brief Introduction
Insanity vs TurboFire – people often can’t stop pitting the two against each other. Currently, they are two of the most highly acclaimed workout routines that people swear by. Religious compliance of each workouts prescription will bring you to their promise of a sculpted and toned body. The two workouts are by different instructors. The Insanity workout is led by fitness guru and choreographer Shaun T. Meanwhile, Chalene Johnson leads the followers of TurboFire’s high-intensity cardio routine. The two trainers are experts in the field and are very dedicated to their profession. However, novices to these two workouts often ask for a comparison between the two. The two workouts do have distinct differences, as stated below.
Insanity Workouts Interval Pyramid Routine
Shaun T’s Insanity workout is a 60-day program that consists of 10 workout DVDs, among them are a fitness test, plyometrics, cardio power, cardio recovery, core cardio, and max interval plyometrics. Insanity workout can be done anytime and anywhere because there are no apparatuses required. Insanity only needs 40 to 60 minutes. The first few workouts will be intense but short. As time goes by, Shaun T will increase the duration and intensity.
The interval routines are noteworthy here because the various intensities cause your body to work harder in shorter periods of time. For example, a workout begins with a warm up before proceeding to 30 seconds high intensity. A minute of low-intensity movement follows before going up to 45 seconds of high intensity.
TurboFires HIIT
Chalene Johnson, on the other hand, implements a 90-day program with a 6 days a week workout. TurboFire has 12 workout DVDs, including an advanced set of exercises. If you intend to do the advanced exercises, you will have to extend the program a little longer. TurboFire revolves around High Intensity Interval Training or HIIT. HIIT can burn up to 8x more calories and fat than any traditional cardio exercises. HIIT will really make you catch your breath but Johnson uses upbeat music and fun moves to make the workout more enjoyable.
The Difference between the Two Approaches
Both workouts don’t require gym equipment and can definitely be done at home. Insanity is a 60-day program while TurboFire is a 90-day program. Insanity workout is all about getting to the intense and hardcore exercise moves that incinerate fat. TurboFire does that too but with a lot of dancing incorporated in it. TurboFire is friendlier to beginners because of the modified moves. It will leave you huffing and puffing but it won’t leave your muscles as sore.
The Verdict
When it comes to pitting Insanity vs TurboFire, in the end, it’s all about the taste and preferences. Both are challenging but TurboFire is suited for those who think that hardcore workout is nothing but pure brute and ruthlessness. The danceable songs in TurboFire will definitely change their minds. Insanity workout, on the other hand, is a more no-frills and non-sense intense workout. But take note that both trainers will require you to work hard and put on your game face. The styles of the fitness guru will also determine your preference. They’re both great motivators but they certainly have their own styles. Johnson is more jolly and sanguine while Shaun T is serious about getting into business. TurboFire could be a good start for beginners of high intensity exercises. They can later progress to Insanity.
