Week 2 of the P90X3 Challenge has finally come to an end. This was another great week of workouts. The nutrition was pretty good for the most part. I took the seventh day as a rest day once again this week. It’s nice to have one day of rest after 6 days of intense workouts.
Week 2 In Review
Week 2 went really well for me in terms of the workouts. I got in every workout and was able to push up the intensity each day. And on one of the workouts I noticed that even after 2 weeks I’m still taking it too easy. So this week I’m going for broke on The Challenge workout. CVX continues to be my favorite of this first block and I’m coming to really enjoy The Warrior workouts. Both of these workouts are big calorie burners for me. I’m reaching over 450 calories on these workouts and may even have more room to push harder. Maybe for some that’s not a lot of calories but for me in a 30 minute workout it’s a big deal. I was barely burning over 500 calories in a 42 minute Insanity workout. Do the math!
Week 2 Nutrition
I continue to take my nutrition one day at a time. I’m still not counting calories or tracking macro nutrients this time through. I’m simply eating 5-6 times per day and making sure I get protein at each meal or snack. It’s that simple of a meal plan for me right now. The weekends are still the hardest part of my week. I find myself eating out during the weekend and try my best to make the best of it with the decisions I make. However this week we ended up at Chiles on Saturday and ordering the appetizer was something that I really wish I could have been stronger and not ordered at all. But like I always say, just got to keep moving on and look to tomorrow. I’m taking this challenge one day at a time and after 14 days I’m really loving this program.
Week 2 In Conclusion
With the conclusion of week 2 I start to look forward to week 3. Week 3 is the last week that I’ll be under the current workout schedule. After this coming week we enter our P90X3 transition week and then off to the second block of P90X3. Where it looks like we’ll have a new slate of workouts with the exception of X3 yoga. It’s time to amp up the intensity another notch…BRING IT!
P.S. I’ve lost a total 5.4 pounds in 14 days with X3 !!!
