I have three words to say about Day 27 Plyometric Cardio Circuit, “BEST WORKOUT EVER”! I had the best workout I have had this entire Insanity Challenge. I’m feeling motivated for next weeks recovery week and Month 2. And to top even that, both of my daughters worked out with me today. I try to lead by example by working out and eating right. But I don’t “require” my kids to do the same for the most part. However I do encourage them everyday to do so. Being it’s Saturday they were home so I gave them the option to either workout with me or clean their rooms. They chose to workout, Proud Daddy right now.
Day 27 Plyometric Cardio Circuit
As I stated above day 27 was the best workout ever! And what I meant by that was the fact that I personally did the best today of any day in the Insanity Challenge or ever with Insanity for that matter. As I have been doing now since day 19, I can go through the entire warm-up without a break or even stopping. And today was the same, BUT I also completed the rest of the workout without a break, other than a few seconds during the plank work at the end of the second circuit in Plyometric Cardio Circuit. I’m especially proud of that moment as I never thought I’d see the day. And to top it off my daughters worked out with me today. My oldest became nauseated and I made her stop by the middle of the first circuit. My youngest daughter (6) went through the entire workout with me and did what she could. I’m an extremely proud daddy today. She wanted to quit many times but stuck it out to finish with me. Today was the very last workout in Month 1 and I can’t believe it’s already done. I know the tough part will begin in a week but I not worried about it too much giving how much I’ve progressed in these 27 days. I will update my measurements and pics on day 30 so be sure to stick around to see if I have had any success in that department.
Day 27 Plyometric Cardio Circuit Nutrition
My nutrition on Day 27 proved to be difficult for me to get my numbers right. I’m down to the bare minimum in what I left from the week in terms of groceries. I had a really hard time getting the right amount of protein today. For breakfast I ate an English muffin with egg whites, turkey bacon and a tomato. My post workout and snack were as usual with the Results and Recovery and Shakeology. At lunch I had another deli sandwich which was not what I wanted being it was probably my 3rd this week, but it was what I had available. At dinner I grilled some lean pork chops for the family with a side of brown rice and sweet peas. The problem with dinner was that there wasn’t enough pork chops to go around and I barely got 3 oz where when I originally mapped out the day I had scheduled to have more than 4 oz. The packet just didn’t have enough volume for the entire family for me to get more than I had. I completed the day at 1899 calories and my macro-nutrients at 42-39-19. Stay tuned.
