Day 49 is done and week 7 is in the books. YES! Week 7, only 2 more weeks to go in the Insanity Challenge. I’m so close now I can almost taste the victory. This has been a hard 7 weeks, but as I look back I wouldn’t have done anything differently.
Week 7 In Review
Week 7 completes the second week of 4 in the Max Insanity workouts. After that first week I thought I would never make it to the end. It was much more difficult and the workouts were longer on top of that. Now, after the second week in the Max workouts I feel different. I feel stronger and better already. Some people may say we “only” have 2 weeks left but with these style and intense workouts 2 weeks is a months worth of workout results. So it’s not time to just get through them it’s time to push harder and jump higher everyday. I’m proud to say that each of the Insanity Challengers I have going through this with me are doing amazing. I can’t wait to share their success stories as well as my own when we complete this challenge.
Sometimes I find myself getting a little ahead of things. Lately there has been more and more info on the Brand New Shaun T workout Focus T-25 and I have made the decision that it will be my next program. However I need to focus and finish this task first, so trying to stay focused on one thing is becoming the hard part. Either way, this round of the Insanity Challenge has been my best ever and the results have been the best I have seen in any program that I have done. Of course sticking to the nutrition is a BIG part of that.
Week 7 Nutrition
I’m still doing well with the nutrition side of the equation. The only difficulty is when we go out to eat. I have been blessed with my family supporting me to the end on this journey. We hardly go out to eat just so I can finish this challenge as strong as possible with no interruptions. If you have been following me at all you may know that we have a family night at Chick-fil-a every Friday night. The last time we went I had a hard time sitting there with my grilled chicken sandwich (minus the bun) and fruit cup watching everyone slurp up sodas, milk shakes, fries and chicken nuggets. I asked that we not return until I’m done with the 60 days of Insanity. This is going to make things much easier on me in the way of temptation. If you don’t want to be tempted, try to take it out of the equation. The weekends continue to be the hardest part for me as I would suspect it would be the same for anyone. I continue to keep my mind right and stick to tracking everything I eat with My fitness Pal to keep me accountable and right on my goals. I finished week 7 at 82 calories under my goal and finished my macro-nutrient numbers right at 45-36-19. Stay tuned for week 8.
