Day 6 of my Insanity Challenge brings me to my first repeat workout in Plyometric Cardio Circuit. If there was one thing I had to complain about the Insanity Workout it would be the amount of workouts. I would really prefer not to have to repeat the same workout in the same week. Either way I have to deal with it. Just to recap I’m a day off of the regular schedule because of a shoulder injury making today Sunday. Because of this I needed to do my workout in the evening. Personally I prefer to workout in the morning but to succeed sometimes you have to get out of your comfort zone. That’s something I stress to my Insanity Challengers.
Day 6 Plyometric Cardio Circuit
Day 6 Plyometric Cardio Circuit happens to be the first repeated workout and it’s a doozy. I mentioned before I had to this one in the evening, it’s harder for me to push play in the evening. I’m in so much of a routine for morning workouts it messes up my routine. I pushed myself again on this workout, I’d like to think I pushed harder today than I did the last time I did this routine. I know my heart rate monitor says I did. I raised my average heart rate from 140 BPM to 146 BPM on this workout. The shoulder is still a little tender but I didn’t skip anything today. This is the last workout of week 1. Looking forward to week 2!
Day 6 Plyometric Cardio Circuit Nutrition
Day 6 nutrition was a bit harder to nail down than any other day for me. Being this is Sunday we go out with family and friends after our Church service. Today the group decided on Dairy Queen. This was the one place I really didn’t want to go because I know how much trouble it can be for my nutrition if I’m not strong. I am committed to having the best results possible on this round of Insanity. At Dairy Queen I ordered the Iron Grilled Turkey sandwich without mayo or bacon. Probably the healthiest option for me at Dairy Queen so I call this a win. Having said that I still have the rest of the day to get my nutrition back to my goal ratio’s. It wasn’t easy but in the end I finished with a 41-38-20 ratio. Not exactly at my goals but the fat was down and out of extra carbs and fat, I’ll take the carbs. The bonus for me today was getting to have my Shakeology twice! And I cut out the Results and Recovery drink because of the extra carbs and substituted it with the second Shakeology as my post workout shake.
