Day 23 and the Tabata Strength workout were brutal today. I can barely type this out my arms are so worn out. All the floor work of the Tabata Strength workout has my arms literally shaking. I really went for broke today and had another amazingly awesome workout today!
Day 23 Tabata Strength
A couple of things went differently for me on day 23. One was I really focused more on form, control and range of motion today. There is a lot of floor work in this workout and we probably spend almost half the workout working the arm and shoulder areas. I posted a video yesterday of Shaun T explaining how to Max Out properly with Insanity Max 30. After watching this video myself I realize were my faults were so far in this program. And mostly with the Tabata workouts. I have to be honest with myself if I want the best results possible in only 8 weeks. I discovered I wasn’t “Maxing Out” in the proper time after viewing the video. Particularly in the push ups. Shaun T want FULL RANGE of motion during push ups. If you can’t do a full push up you’ve Maxed out. Unfortunately I wasn’t doing a full range push up, probably more like a 3/4 range. So today I made sure to get the full range (chest to the floor) of each push up and have a more accurate Max Out time.
The results of using full range today, my Max ut time decreased, as it should. I went from a time of 11:38 down to 10:38. I lose of about 1 minute, but I tell you what, I got a much better workout in today than I have in any previous Tabata Strength or Power workout. Day 23 also marked my 800th workout in the Team Beachbody Super Gym!

Day 23 Tabata Strength Nutrition
My day 23 nutrition continued on the path to success in my own journey. The further along I get in the Insanity Max 30 program the easier it feels to keep to my nutrition goals. Today I decided to have 2 servings of Shakeology, each a different recipe and flavor, mostly because I couldn’t come up with something for my final snack of the day. Shakeology just makes things that much easier. It’s quick, easy, tasty and most of all healthy, and I can’t argue with that logic.
Breakfast: Proatmeal Recipe from Insanity Nutrition Guide
Snack: Recovery Formula/Shakeology
