Wow day 22 is here and the start or week 4. Also known as the last week in month 1 in the Insanity Challenge. Day 22 brings Pure Cardio with Cardio Abs to the table. These two workouts combined are starting to get a little easier to swallow. It’s still no walk in the park but I guess I’m getting my mind wrapped around the idea of doing these back to back.
Day 22 Pure Cardio With Cardio Abs
Today was the second day in a row that I went through the entire Insanity warm-up sequence with a break or stop. This will now be what I expect to do the rest of the way through the Insanity Challenge. It took me 19 days to be able to accomplish this for more than 1 day in a row, but I’ll take it. It shows improvement in my cardio and perseverance. I’m also improving during the workout. As you may or may not know Pure Cardio is a non-stop workout. I am seeing great improvements with exception to a few moves. My biggest nemesis is the Frog Jumps, not sure why I struggle so much with them. Maybe because of where there are in the routine, but either way I really have a hard time with them. Everything else I do fairly well with going as long as I can. Day 22 Pure Cardio with Cardio Abs is starting to become one of my favorites as it seems to fly by with having no stops or breaks during the entire routine. Before you know it we’re in the cool down stretch. I only have one more bout with this routine in the entire Insanity Schedule and I know I’m going to miss it.
Day 22 Pure Cardio With Cardio Abs Nutrition
My nutrition on Day 22 was a little basic. I needed to go grocery shopping which I usually do every Sunday evening. Well after working out late Sunday I just didn’t have it in me to go and I decided to go this morning. After taking the kids to school I noticed I had left my wallet in my wife’s car. Needless to say I couldn’t do my grocery shopping without money. I didn’t have much left in the house since I usually only by enough for each week. For lunch today I went with something simple and quick to make from the Insanity Nutrition Guide. The Insanity egg sandwich is a good source of protein, carbs and fat and like I said it’s quick and easy to make. Dinner was a little more basic with just some grilled chicken, brown rice and green beans. I completed today with 1929 calories and my macro-nutrients at 45-35-20. Stay Tuned.
