When it comes to owning your own business the only way to success is advertising. How many businesses do well without anyone knowing they exist. The Beachbody Coach business is no different. You need to “get the word out” otherwise you will just be spinning your wheels. I can’t tell you how many beautiful websites I have come across that are ghost towns because nobody knows about them. And on the other hand I’ve seen some for lack of a better word “ugly” websites making a killing just because they are getting traffic. Whether you are marketing online or offline the same thing is relevent.
When I see another Beachbody Coach fail or quit, I guarantee you can ask that Coach how they marketed their business and it will reveal one of two things. One, they didn’t market it at all and nobody even knew they were a Beachbody Coach or what it was all about. Or two, they did market their business but they did it wrong.
It’s been said time and time again, if you want to succeed in this business it will come down to you and your efforts, so if you fail you can’t blame it anyone except yourself. I hate for anyone to fail, whether on my own team or another team. I started my own Beachbody business with knowing I would give it at least a year to work, mind you I was mainly using the business as a motivator for my workouts and to get discounts on products I was already purchasing, which turned into a business after I started to market it. I figured I would just point out some easy and to the point ideas to market your Beachbody Business.
So let’s get to it…
Facebook – Facebook has to be one of the best ways to reach people. One, because just about everyone has a Facebook account. And two, because it’s free to use. This is not to mean you just start to blast spam comments all the time as your update status. This can actually kill your business. You want people to see your passion for helping others and that it’s NOT about the MONEY. Be personable and willing to help. Offer your Facebook friends to get a free Team Beachbody account (with you as their coach). Everyone likes free stuff right. Let Team Beachbody do the advertising while you just support them. Helpful and encouraging status updates are much more appealing than “you need to drink Shakeology everyday, get it from me”. That’s an immediate turn off.
*Tip – Create a Facebook fan page, no worries these are free too. You can learn how to set up a Faceboook fan page here. A Facebook fan page can be set up with different pages just like a website.
Youtube – YouTube is a huge market, number 2 to Facebook, so naturally using them together can be huge. I’m not talking about just adding product videos to a YouTube channel. I’m talking about YOU. Create videos with you talking about the products and services of Beachbody, or more over how YOU can help or answer common questions. People like to put a face with a name, be personal and honest and people will subscribe to your channel as you load more videos you can market to more and more people.
Twitter – Many coaches have built very large organizations with twitter. There’s so much more to Twitter than just updating your daily routine. And there are programs that can help you explode your twitter side of the Beachbody Business. Tweetadder is one way to find and add literally thousands of people to follow, and the rule of thumb is if you follow them, they follow you. And you can set the program to unfollow anyone who doesn’t follow you back within a few days. Next you will want to get TweetDeck so you can keep up with everyone’s updates. Another program many people use is Hootsuite. Besure and check out these programs and get started on Twitter today!
Website – A website is really one of the best marketing ideas to have and use, but whats better is combining all the above with your website. The only downfall to a website is it takes a little bit of money to get started and it takes time to establish an online presence.
Lead Capture Page – Most affiliate marketers will tell you need to be building a “list”. A lead capture page can do just that. There are many ways to go about using them. Another way is to use a Lead Capture form on your Facebook or website. A Capture page may grab more people and can be set up to offer a free gift (Ebook or Report) for subscribing.
Peer to Peer – Of course this is in the top ways to market your Beachbody Business. Simply wearing some Beachbody gear can get you engaged into a conversation. I can’t tell you how many times I have been approached when wearing me P90X T-shirt. Other ideas include putting logos on your car, business cards and flyers.
