I have been waiting for this week to get here it seems like forever. I have been doing a little bit of research and talking to other coaches who had amazing results with P90X. I’m not really looking to be “ripped” in these 90 days but rather lean out lose some fat then maybe try to add bulk in the coming rounds. I went through month 1 without missing a workout and I brought it each day, but I did focus more on good form than I did on weight and reps. I tend to get nasuseas very easily so this was a precautionary thing too. I start “Phase 2” and will be going for it, upping my weight in each exercise and or course “writing it down” so I can up it when I’m ready. Like Tony says “How do you know what to do…if you don’t know what you did.” So my tip for you is WRITE IT DOWN. Anyways back to what I was talking about. Since I decided to go for broke this phase I was looking into taking a pre-workout supplement. I found a lot of people raving about JACK3D. So I decided to try it myself. According to some of the people I talked to about it, it helps you increase your muscle pumps and increases your indurance as well as giving you incredible focus. Needless to say I was excited to use this stuff. I was told by another coach to cycle the Jack3d and to use it 2 months on and one month off. So that’s why I didn’t start phase 1 with it. Now that phase 2 is here I am excited to get going, using Jack3d and my brand new SelectTech’s I ready to crush it everyday.
W5D1 – P90X Shoulder Triceps and Chest w/ARX – Today was the first day I got to take the Jack3d supplement. I can actually say I could feel a bit of a tingle prior to working out. Once it was time to go I went for it. Now, I’m not sure it was the supplement or the fact I was ready to “Bring It” but I got numbers and reps I had never reached before today. Could of been the placebo effect, but I don’t care. I had to use the Results and Recovery drink today, I was so exhausted I was craving it.
W5D2 – Insanity Cardio Core & Balance – I had been told not to use Jack3d for cardio but I figured I’d try it after all it’s Insanity. And to go back a bit I had a weird feeling in my stomach for most of the day yesterday, not sure what that was from. So today I went at it and pretty much kept up with the crew on this workout. But I got that weird feeling again, maybe it’s the Jack3d, I will try tomorrow without it.
W5D3 – P90X Back & Biceps w/ARX – Holy crap am I sore! Today I went without Jack3d and still made sure to up my weight in each exercise. I love to work my biceps hard, they are the one muscle I’d like to see some size at. The workout went by fast and by the end I was toast. Having the R&R formula is a must if your going for broke, but maybe that’s just me 😉
W5D4 – P90X Cardio X – I have to admit that I am starting to feel tired, Maybe it’s from pushing harder this week. Maybe from not getting the best sleep. Either way I am really feeling it. Both sides of my arms are extremely sore even to the touch, but that’s a good thing. Cardio X was a bit harder today being tired, but I went at it and tried to clear my mind. It went well and I will probably be taking it easy today to gear up for tomorrow’s Leg routine.
W5D5 – P90X Legs & Back w/ARX – TGIF! I have really brought it each day this week. And I am feeling it today. I am exhausted, but still excited at the same time. Today was Legs & back and I upped my reps today a bit more from the last time I did this routine (week 3). Depending on how sore my legs are tomorrow I may increase my reps next Friday as well. I went back to taking Jack3d today. Still can’t tell if it’s helping or not, but I will continue it’s use for a few more days.
W5D6 – Softball Tournament – Today was my softball tournament, and lucky me it was over 100 degrees out there today here in Florida. We didn’t technically play very well as a team so we were eliminated before we melted away. Because of the tournament I will be passing on my 2 mile run today. I feel great and I’m pretty sure I’ve lost more weight. I weigh in tomorrow to see where I’m at.
W5D7 – OFF – Today was my rest day, which I plan to enjoy. I weighed in today at 193, which is the same as my last weigh in so no weight loss for this week, although my clothes are fitting much looser on me. No worries, I’m still sore so I’m sure that accounts for some of it. (Muscle retains water when they are sore) I have kept my diet in check and have now been 5 weeks without a “cheat meal”, many thanks to having Shakeology everyday. I’m looking forward to next week and I’m ready to rock it.
