Day 11 Cardio Recovery was very necessary for me today. I have been going strong since Saturday with no breaks and it’s starting to catch up with me. This really isn’t a recovery day to be honest, but it is a recovery day from cardio. Hence the name Cardio Recovery.
Day 11 Cardio Recovery
Again this day has come for me at the perfect time. I feel a bit run down and needed some rest. It’s not all from Insanity, I haven’t slept well over the last few nights of top of the workout. Sleep is very important and I’m not getting enough. I like the Cardio Recovery day because it slows things way down. There’s no insane warm up, there’s no jumping, it’s a slow paced deep muscle recovery workout. I’m proud that I can now do all the squats and holds with the cast without having to come out of them. I still need some work on my balance but time will get me there. Another thing I think is over looked sometimes is how much shoulder work you get from this routine. My shoulders are burning in the first few sets of Plank Work. I am hoping to turn on some Golf and take a quick nap sometime today to try and catch up on some needed sleep. Tonight I have my first softball game since injuring my shoulder so we’ll see how that goes.
Day 11 Cardio Recovery Nutrition
My nutrition today was not anything normal but I did still meet my goals for the most part. I went over on the sugar today, got to work on getting that down a little bit more. For breakfast I had my usually egg whites with wheat bread. As my snack I had Chocolate Shakeology, like I do everyday. Today I used my last scoop of chocolate. I have some Tropical left over so I’ll have to use that tomorrow unless my new shipment get here. For dinner I went with a deli sandwich. Be careful if you eat a lot of sandwiches as they contain a lot of sodium. I try not to eat them to often, but I do love a good sandwich. I have another softball game tonight so have the sandwich will help keep my energy up for the game. I finished to day with a total of 1925 calories and a my macro-nutrients finished at 44-36-20.
